Few new pics of me and my boy at about a year old. DU warning.

After my other thread about your feeding routines I figured I would post a few new pictures showing my boys size. Feel free to add some pics of your pride and joys stating age and size. Irwin is a little under a year in these pictures and weighs about 12000-1300g empty. Lets see your new phtos!

Steroid rats, funny you say that, I ordered them from www.barrybondsrodents.com. I never seen a rat with quads before I got these in,,,wierd huh? :D

That is a fake plant Fish, just added it last week for something a little different. You can see in these pics that he is going into shed, he is normally so bright. I'll have to post some post shed pics just to prove what a Dapper Dan he can be ;)

Irwin's got SUCH an interesting pattern! Kara was right--he's a beautiful boy! He's also HUGE for his age! Wow! Auryn's definitely smaller than that boy, for sure! I'll be sure to let him know that he's puny--so he can start workin' on his pecs instead of hangin' out in his hides all the time ;)

He's gorgeous and that's a lovely home you have for him. Are you sure of his age and gender? That's a good size boy for not even being a year old yet.

Yeah, I clicked too :oops: lol. But in reality you never know what sites are around nowadays.

Anyway, nice looking BP. I can't wait 'til mine gets bigger. I've got no idea how old he is :( , or his weight; but he's about 18in. long, and barely as thick as a the cylinder shaped black night bulbs I use(if you have any idea what I'm talking about) I was told he's less than a year, but after seeing yours I'm thinking he may only be 4-6 months.

Thanks a million! You know how great Kara is which is why I will find it extremely hard to buy from anyone else. She made the whole transition of being a snake owner a pleasure. She also gave me one hell of a great snake to say the least. He has eaten without fail every week for me, he has had 3 perfect sheds and the bugger even lets me rub his head and almost seems to enjoy it. This guy is all one can ask for as a new BP owner.

I am pretty sure that is accurate because that is what Kara told me when we were going through the normals. She also sexed the snake right there for me confirming it's a boy. I am thinking some of his size comes from the fact I have been giving him 80-85g of rats a week. We will see how things go now that im dropping him down to 40-45g a week. I love his enclosure, I bought that from NERD a couple weeks before I brought the snake home. Kara is keeping her eye out for another identical one for me so I can stack them. If another doesnt pop up before I get my next snake I will sell it and buy two other stackable enclosures.

Looks like a similar length, but yours had some more girth on it. Thats a 10gallon tank, but I've significantly changed now and it finally up to par.

On a side note... I can't get any of my pics into my gallery here. I get to the process button then when I click it brings me to a blank page. If anyone can help or explain why please PM me?

To post pics you just need to upload them from your PC to a site such as www.photobucket.com which is what I use. Once they are hosted on a site you just need to copy and paste the image code to your picture into your post here ob BP.net and shabang, your pic will magically appear ;)

First let me say that's a very nice snake you have there. He looks to be around the size my snake was at 6 months, maybe a little smaller but in the ball park.

Ah well if Kara sexed him, he's a he LOL. Those are hefty rats for him so likely it's fine to pull him back a bit. I know we tended to go a bit big with Malachi our het Albino from 8Ball and he grew very fast and was very big for age. Adam advised us that porky males don't always make for the best breeders so we learned our lesson there and backed Mal down a bit on his feeder size. Didn't do him a bit of harm either and I'd say he's in really great shape going into this season.
