Our first Pastel hatchling

Our pastel clutch has pipped, and we have 1 out of the egg. The clutch was 5 good eggs and 2 slugs. We lost 1 egg at about day 30, and of the remaing 4 we have 3 pastels it looks like. Here is a pic of the first one out.

Hot! It is my first Pastel hatchling year too. I love their high-white heads/faces.

Thanks all, thats still the only one out and I don't want to jinx anything by sexing it yet :oops: . I can't wait to see them in the morning. Will post more pics tomorrow.

Congrats on the odds Neil. That first Pastel out seems to be a prime specimen. I hope they all look like that one, and you get a couple females out of that clutch. Can't wait to see the whole clutch out. Open that egg box again and yell out them to crawl out.

Thanks Tim, I am about at that point ... that first one is a male, and the normal is a female. The other two pastels are taking thier own sweet time. Must be females ;) .

Final results in ... 3 male pastels, 1 normal female. I really wanted a pastel female to hold back, but its not to be I guess. Hey at least I got 3 pastels!!! :D Will post pics of them all in another thread later.

Congrats Neil, I was pulling for all girl pastels for ya, but you'll make up for it in future clutches I'm sure. Looking forward to pics of all of 'em!
