How big's yor BP?

Mine is a baby and still only about 16-18 in. I'm just wondering about everone else (I've seen all the averages for males and females, but I want hear about the ones on this site)

Any other information like age, gender (if known), & what size you bought it at would be awesome.

16 BP Born between early 05 and late 06.

MMM mine range from 350 grams to 3000 grams. ;D

I have one. Male, almost 4 years old. I haven't weighed him in a long time but my hubby measured him and he was 54 inches about two months ago I think. I will have to get a weight on him, he has been packing on the grams since he began eating regularly.

He was about 16 inches when I rescued him.

Hmm, I would guess to say that my year and a half old female is around 40", and probably weighs around 750grams, while my soon to be year old male is about 30" and weighs around 450grams.

Mine's about 3 ft. long.

Mine, too, is still just a baby girl at @21" and about 3 months old. I just got my scale, and she's in shed, so I don't know her weight yet, but she eats regularly. This was the only week she hasn't had a meal cause of the shed and a bad mouse pick-up. :)

I have a male that is just about exactly a year old

800 grams give or take, and almost exactly 4 feet this week.

I'm hoping he grows a bit more....watching them grow is really fun :sunny:


last Feb. he was 25 inches and around 300 grams.

Lmao!! That's awesome. For some reason, when I hear 'spurs' I immediately think of the cowboy boot spurs, then I think of 'urban cowboys' who wore huge spurs on their boots, and then... ya.... wierd train of thought :P

I'm realizing that alot of people weight them instead of measuring them (make's sense, I could imagine it's not easy to measure a long snake).

I wish I knew exactly how old mine is, the guy at the pet store said he was under a year, but after hearing about some of yours being 21in. at 3 months and 4ft. at the one year mark I'm kind of wondering if mine's younger than I thought. I don't know his weight, and if I had to guess I'd say he's about 3 inches in diameter at his thickest part. I originally thought he was almost a year old, although now I'm starting to wonder if he's only a few months. I guess I'll never know. Anyway great to here about your BP's :rockon:

I think that, like people, individual size varies. Genetics plays a part, and then there's feeding frequency, prey size, etc.


I don't know if there is a sure-fire way to tell the age of a snake...that's an interesting question!

my girls an early 06' or very late 05', shes about 40 inches and weighs about 930 grams empty, and about 1030 full. Shes went from 540 grams in april to the weight she is now in about 4 months.

year old male 36" 670g, and the female is about 54" and 2300g.

Well I bought my girl at a pet store (i know, i know, but my next one will be from a breeder dont worry) so I don't know the exact DOB but I had a vet estimate it to be the end of last year. She was about 20" when I first got her back in March and shes now about 30". The last time she was weighed she was about 440g. And yes they are a pain to measure the length, never seem to want to straigten out when you want to measure em.

I think my female is about 3 ft and i think last time i weighed her she was 620 grams. Got her at one month old. length=tiny lol. weight=umm didnt have a scale at the time but maybe 110 grams just a guess. :)

My males the runt though he is about 30 inches and only 500 grams got him about 5 months ago maybe 6 and he was 512 grams dont know about length.

Both are just a year and a couple months.

Dont you mean atleast a year and a half if you had him last feb to this feb would be a year and its august so atleast a year and a half. I agree he is rather large though.

nope, I mean this past Feb. Feb 2007. He was hatched in August 2006.

It can really vary. I have one girl here who is close to 2 years old now, and is right around 800-1000 grams (best guess, I haven't put her on the scale lately). She's a very shy, very fussy eater.

My male is 6 1/2 years old and close to 5 feet and he's 15 pounds.

Mine all range from 70g to 2400g and are between a 5-6 weeks and 6 years of age.

I only have two babies right now. I bought them on Saturday. The male is only 68g while the female is a bit more.

like another poster said, the size/weight varies just like people. i dont know exactly how old my BP is either because i got him at petco ( i know, bad me. ) a year ago this month, and he's 28 inches long, havent weighed him.
