You know I've never tracked weights on any of my preggo female rats. Basically when they get to the point where I mutter "holy ****, that rat gets any bigger it's gonna explode!!!" then I know they are about big enough and ready to deliver. :D

Besides which Ash, you and I have both had kids. Can you imagine anyone saying how heavy a 9 month gone female human gets....we'd waddle over and kill em...or at least sit on them while we ate chocolate and whined about our swollen ankles!!! I hate to embarrass my lady rats LOL.

I never understood why they weighed you first and THEN took your blood pressure. Even when I wasn't pregnant, I didn't appreciate it. :ohmygod:

Cuz they are sick puppies with freaky senses of humor! Same reason they invented stirrups and backless examining gowns....buncha wierdos!

Personally I always enjoyed the labor room nurses who asked how "we" were doing.

"Well hon....we are just freakin jim dandy...one of "us" is laying here in a considerable amount of PAIN...and one of "us" better get her butt back out that door!"

I just about beat the nurse when she hands my husband a glass of ice water, and hands me one full of ice chips. I told my husband to give me his water. He tried to reason with me (silly man) that the nurse said I couldn't have it. I told him he could either give me his water or I was getting up and getting my own. Needless to say he handed his over. :wuv:

You don't think we were being unreasonable do ya? :giggle:

When they are ready to deliver they look like wobbling pears, its hilarious but you can tell they are miserable, i feel so bad though... But i make sure and give them more treats then usuall when its all over.

Dang! I must be doing something wrong. I delievered my son Feb. 13th, so I spend Valentine's day in the hospital. The only chocolate I got was from the hospital, and my husband ate it! :evileye: That's just wrong. Jo would you mind taking me under your wing and showing me the ropes? :please:

Well you see Christie, you all know how Mike is such a rabid Red Wings fan and being that Mikey was due right in the middle of playoffs that year, hubby was worried!

Well we watched the game Saturday night and I went into labor early Sunday morning. Mikey was born by noon on Sunday and we were back home Monday by 2 p.m. and watched the game that Monday night. I told my hubby that a good Canadian wife would never dream of having a baby and making her beloved miss a play-off game for heaven's sakes. LMAO! Made some major points on that let me tell ya! :D
