I'm not new to BP's but I am new to this site. Just thought Id pop in and say HI. Anyone pick up any new morphs lately??

Let me be the first to welcome you to a wonderful site Josh. I have not picked up anything new this year yet, did hatch a few new things, but we will be adding some stuff in the very near future.

Welcome to the site I am in the process of paying off some neat stuff but nothing new..Well I take that back I got an 06 female het pieds from NERD some months back and a little dinker that looks like a het red axanthic. What about you anything interesting this year so far??????

I just picked up an 07 male pinstripe and an 07 female lesser a week er two ago. When I received the package the female lesser wasnt the one i ordered!! The markings behind the head on her neck were very similiar to the one in the pictures i had received but they werent the same. I think the breeder tried to pull a quick one on me bc i told him it was down to his lesser and another breeders and i requested more pics so I could get a better look... He sent me more of the lesser (I thought it was the same one) and I was like wow that is awesome looking... and i choose to buy his lesser... A couple days later(prior to shipping) I was looking at the two pics and comparing their markings only to find out he sent me two pics of 2 different snakes. If you looked real quick you wouldnt be able to tell. So i emailed him to make sure the one i was getting was the 2nd one (better looking, brighter lesser) and he told me yes... Package arrived last thursday and i open it up.... its the wrong one!! Long story short... i sent back the lil girl yesterday and the new one (hopefully right one) will be here thursday... Not sure if it was an accident but i think thats pretty grimy!

litterally picked up my hc male '07 albino about.. 3 hours ago.
i'd be highly miffed about getting the wrong lesser. oh lord. you'll have to post pics.. they make me weak haha. too bad for the baby you got by mistake, she's being shipped to and fro. hopefully, however, it was just an honest mistake by the breeder.

Tried to upload some pics of my snakes but apparently the size of the pictures are too large... Anyone know how to make pics smaller? ... Pretty sad to say I work for a custom computer manufacturer and have no clue how to make pics smaller :)

First off, welcome to the best forum around!! Secondly, if you host them on photobucket, it will automatically resize them for you. If you want to upload them to your profile here instead, you can resize them in all basic photo editing programs, including MS paint. Ideal size is 640 pixels wide or smaller.

Oh yea... after repticzone booted me I had to find a new home. I like this site better... seems like theres more snake talk going on and less "help me do this help me do that" ... gets old posting to the saaaaaaaame questions when the answers are all over the place if you take the time to look. I got the lesser and pinstripe from Ed Clark... found him on kingsnake and hes got a pretty big collection of some nice looking snakes. I kinda wish the breeders would talk a little more... I asked him some questions and he didnt respond to them... maybe thats bc he was pissed i caught him trying to scam me. I mean seriously who does that? I even sent him an email saying these are two different snakes and i wanna make sure im getitng the right one and i attached a photo of the right one... "yup yup thats the one im sending you I sold the other one to someone else... too many snakes"... she arrives and its the wrong one... sounds a little sketchy to me to be a honest mistake... Either way he paid for the shipping to return the lil girl and my gf received the right lesser this morning. Pics next week after she eats! (the male pinstripe I also got took a hopper mouse in like 10 seconds with no problem last sunday!!)

Just to clarify something a bit.... ;) ....we DO get a lot of that here. And we make a great effort to help those folks as much as we try to help anyone else. They're our primary reason for being. For someone new to all of this, the amount of information to wade through can be staggering and intimidating...and a lot of it is just plain wrong. So asking their own question in their own words and having their own thread about their issues can help them to learn faster and more easily with a higher chance of getting accurate information. So.....not everyone has to jump into those sorts of threads if they don't feel like it.....but we don't disdain them in the least. ......Just so ya know. :)

Oh I dont disagree with you I just like it how husbandry questions have thier own section... on other forums its just "ball pythons" and everytings in one... here its broken up into a couple sections making it easier to steer clear of all the husbandry issues... I applaud all of you for answering those kinds of questions but like I said ill leave those up to other members :)

Josh you'll find Ed Clark has a less than good reputation with people here. The wrong animal being sent to you sounds like an honest mistake but its just one of many "honest" mistakes that he has made with people here and else where that caused some bad blood with a few of his customers. I got a Genetic Banded girl from him a year ago and couldn't happier but some folks have been less pleased. Just be careful some things like sending the wrong snake seem innocent enough but it just seems to be the kind of thing we keeping hearing about his method of business practices. I mean breeders with thousands more animals than him don't send out the wrong animals. So glad he made it right just be aware.

Ya it just seemed a little sketchy that when I emailed him and said "hey ive narrowed it down to your lesser and someone elses... can i get more pics"... he sends me this pic of a sweet looking lesser with much less yellow/orange in it... the 2nd picture blew the other snakes outta the water so obv i said ya ill take it... the markings on the neck were very similar in both snakes and could fool anyone whose not really paying attention. He got me for a day or two until i sat down and really compared them... There was just too much of a color difference between the two pics to think it was just the camera or the lighting... thought hed pull a quick one on me and send me a pic of one of his better looking lessers to get me to buy then send me a different one... Thats grimy to me and when I breed/sell my snakes I wont be pulling shady stuff like that! Last snake Ill buy from him... thanks for the insight freaky!

I do find it hard to think that Ed would do such a mean thing, for being such a good guy. I sure hope it was a mistake. Glad to know he got everything straight! Good luck Josh, congrats on the new pick ups, and welcome to the site! :sweeet:
