Only if your temps are good. Other wise leave it on with raised humidity and incorrect temps you'll risk an RI

What are you measuring your humidity with? You can raise it to 70% to 80% if it take spraying twice a day then so be it. :D

no the lights don't hurt her eyes but they do need a light cycle.

Healthy humidity should be between 40%-50% . For sheds keep it between 60-70%

This is all covered in the care sheet on this site :D

    Re: shedding Q's
I wouldnt use a garbage bag just because if it gets to warm it will easily melt. I know some people use aluminum foil and/or duct tape combo. Also you could use a piece of wood (just make sure it isn't too heavy where it could fall into the cage). And you really need to get that humidity up to make the shed easier for your snake. Leaving the heat lamp on all the time is going to dry it out really fast, if you don't have a bowl of water in already you can add that, also towels/paper towels that are wet can be put in to try and raise the humidity as well. If you have a really hard time keeping constant temps/humidity you might want to look into getting a plastic tub instead, much easier to control everything that way. And with a UTH make sure it doesn't get too hot, my vet recomemended putting a tile in between the cage and the heater to evenly distribute the heat. It seems to work, temp for the hot side stays about 95.

    Hi,

I would use tinfoil and tape on the outside of the cagetop - you would have to be really carefull with a garbage bag to make sure it didn't get too hot with the lamp and melt. Depends on how it's set up of course.

If you don't mind me asking where did you get her? 5 foot seems awfully big for only 2 years old.

    Hi,

The heatpad should be controlled in some way - either by a thermostat or a dimmer at least.

It depends on how stable your house temperatures are however as a thermostat will automatically keep the temps bang on after its setup and calibrated but the dimmer will need almost constant checking and adjusting if the room temp changes.

How are you measuring your temps at the moment?

And another possible idea if the top-sealing doesn't work is to make a humid hide and add it in addfition to the hides already in there.
