Nice Clutch just hatched here in Indianapolis. Only 5 eggs yielded two really nice Snows. The normals that hatched are dramatically different too...

Old picture but VPI Axanthics are my favorite...

What's the sex ratio on them? I don't buy that you still haven't sexed them.

    Congrats Cory, they look great.

Beautiful snakes! I've never seen Snow Ball Pythons before. Just curious, you can PM me if you don't want to disclose your numbers, but how much do one of those usually sell for, or specifically, yours?

(Edit by JLC - Sales inquiries should be handled via PMs please.)

We want them to be males because of their future potential. Since Snows are visual combination of both recessive genes, Albino and Axanthic, they are valuable to breeders especially as males for obvious reasons...

The really exciting thing for us was that we bred two dbl. het. Ball Pythons(100% het for both genes) together. Our odds were 1:16 for each of the five eggs, or our overall chance for two was 1:256 (I think, don't quote me on that).

For us it will be really exciting to breed one to our pattern morph females in the future and produce, say, Spiders or Pinstripes that are het for both Albino and Axanthic.

Hopefully I explained with enough detail?:)

........................ These are just not that easy to produce. We started our quest for Snows in 1998. Produced a female in 2004 (that does not like to eat) and now produced two males in 2007. How is that for quick return...lol, you have to love this to commit to some of the long haul projects.;)

Cory once again they are awesome. Very inspirational to see a project come to fruition after such a long time. I have an albino project and have recently become more interested in the axanthics, I used to think they were ahh but now I'm starting to see all the amazing possibilities. Thanks for sharing and Double congrats on a job well done! Best of luck with all your projects.
