Ok all these brilliant pics of late got me in the mood and the weather being nice today here in bonny Scotland I got one of the Bloods out for a photo session. Hope you like them.

Need to get his female acomplice out as well but was pushed for time today.

Not great pics as I was having to keep an eye on the cat and an 18 month old boy while taking these ..:)

Still I shall try and get more up when I get time.

Holy wow! I truly did not know bloods got that big! Amazing, truly amazing. Cute kiddo too. I have to give you all the credit for managing a snake, a toddler and a cat plus take pictures. :bow:

hey pal long time no speak :salute: thanks for the comments yes it was hard to manage especially being male and not a multi tasking exponent such as women excel at :D

I however managed to get something on the camera lol He isover 30Ibs and still growing yet on a 14 day feeding cycle his girlfriend is cuter but voracious which come to think of it is a good combination in a female hehe.

Thanks for the comments. He is just over 3 and a half years old and a very well mannered Blood. Never struck once apart from feeding time when he is hyper alert once he smells the Rat. Just the way I like them :)

I will need to get some pics up of his girlfriend she is nicknamed JAWS :D To be fair she does not warrant the name tag anymore and is a pleasure to handle now.

Patience is must for Bloods and you will be rewarded for it as they grow.

What a beauty. I love how heavy bodied they are. I'm not much for the skinny snake breeds, this most definetly does not qualify. Thanks for the pics!

haha he gets a large rat every 14 days , I rarely feed jumbo's as I dont feel it necessary to be honest.

Seems to work fine on mine.:D

thanks , yes its my favorite pic out of them as well.

He is very girthy next time I have him out I will measure and weigh him for info.

I dont know about handsome,your too kind Judy lol :) aye, I thought it would be good to show the size of my snake ( pardon the pun *s*******) as most people only take pics of the snakes on their own so its hard to gauge how big or small they are. ( jeezus I am feeling uncomfortable talking now haha )

(hint hint people) include yourselves in a pic will ya ? :D stricly for size reference mind you ;)

Its a Malaysian Red Blood Python or Python Curtus Brongersmai if you want the latin name for it.

Looks healthy to me. Looks like he can choke out the rat in 2secs with that kind of girth.

He does eye up my cats as well but they seem to know instinctively he is not the friendly foam filled material type :D

Cat hey? Make sure you keep that cat away from that blood or perhaps, :chew: and no more kitty.

I am joking of course but I often do worry if one of my big boas or Carpet Python got out that one of my cats might meet a horrible end. That would break my heart and is just one more reason I do all I can to double secure my snake room,
