    The Simpson's Movie
Eric and I went and saw The Simpson's Movie this evening. I thought it was hilarious! So much better then the TV shows. WOW I don't think I've laughed that hard since I saw Borat. I think it's a must see!

spider pig spider pig does whatever a spider pig does....
LOL I've had that suck in my head ALL night long. I was dancing around and singing it at the bar. It was fun to have others chime in and go along with me on it. AHHHH drunk people. Sadly I was doing this all sober since we only stopped to grab a bite to eat. :P

I'll need to see it soon. I was hoping it would be good although comparing it to Borat (funny wise) doesn't help since I hated that movie. =/

I was a bit on edge about seeing it, but it turned out to really make up for a lot of the "boring, not funny" episodes that they have had in the past.

Yes they are! We have one here in MD that has been remodeled into a Qwickymart. My other half had to drive down to it and he stocked up on Krustie O's and Buzz cola... and brought me back a bunch of donuts. The only problem is... he is saving a few of each. *shakes head* He has a sick obsession with the simpsons I'm afraid.

Yup. Most of the times were sold out. We got a ticket for a showing that was in 4 hours. About 20 minutes later that time too said it was sold out. The theater was PACKED! I was shocked since I've never seen it that packed before. I wonder how much money that movie brings in.... I'll have to keep an eye out on that tomorrow in the news.

I loved it, I took the whole family to the theater last night at midnight. I had bought my tickets earlier in the day and the multiplex had already sold out 4 of their theaters and were opening up a 5th one. I don't know how many screens they ended up showing it on for the midnight show but the place was really packed. Got there an hour early so we got good seats all together. It was WELL worth the wait.

I'm not a simpson's fan at all, I'll prolly catch it on dvd or if I get really bored I might see it in the theater.

I have to admit to being a little let down by the movie... It just felt sort of 'phoned-in'. There also really wasn't the biting humor the show used to have (they spend 10 seconds on a visual gag for 'between a rock and a hard place').

I was also expecting a few more inside jokes for series fans... not that there weren't funny moments, but I'm not sure it was worth the 18 year wait.

I kind of held off on seeing it because of how the last few seasons have declined, and sadly I must recommend waiting for DVD. Maybe they'll put some nifty special features on it.

Also, was anyone else shocked by the $72 MILLION dollar budget??

We saw it in theatres, then found a copy online as well at www.divxtube.com .. The second time it was just as funny as the first, which simpson's has always been good at.
