Where's the best place to buy a scale that would be big enough to weigh an adult female bp but also a baby?

Re: Buying a scale?
I just got a scale on Amazon. It's an Escali and will weigh up to 11lbs, in grams or ounces, which is probably plenty you'll need from a baby to an adult. I haven't had it long but it's worked great so far. Cost me about 27 bucks total with shipping and everything.

Re: Buying a scale?
When looking into scales you want to concider what other uses it will be used for.. will you be weight hatchlings too? How about food items? Do you need a scale that goes up to 2, 5, 10 15 pounds? Does it measure in grams? What increments? Does it measure in 0.1 gram increments? 1.0 gram increments? 2.0 gram increments? 5 gram increments? Does it run off battery or cable? How long does it stay on before it automatically shuts off? All of these things may be things you want to look at.

Re: Buying a scale?
I use an "American Weigh" scale that I got off eBay about a year ago. It was priced good and it weighs up to 50lbs in g's or oz's. I use it to weigh my shipments, my snakes, my chinchilla's, my guinea pig, etc. It's a great scale and I love it.
Here is the link to it:

You can find one on eBay for about $15 if you are lucky.

Re: Buying a scale?
I have the 7001DX and just love it. I can weigh the smallest snake or gecko but also our big female ball pythons with ease. I love the hold feature on it....very handy. :)

Re: Buying a scale?
The reason I dont like the Neva 56lb Postal Scale is that it works in increments of 5 grams. So if you measure a hatchling ball it's either 55g, 60g, 65g, etc.. You can not be accurate down to the gram. To some people, that not a big issue, but I like to be accurate to the gram.
This scale also does not appear to have the ability to program or disable the "auto-off" time. Nor does it appear to have the ability to remember that last weight mode. I hate when I am weighing snakes and the scale shuts off before I get the next hatchling on the scale, so I have to turn it on and then reset it back to gram mode, then weigh the snake.. and then when I grab the next hatchling in the back of the bin and get it over to the scale.. the damn scale shuts off again!!! Man, that makes me crazy!! :rolleye2:
I really think the MyWeigh 7001DX is a perfect scale. As a side note, you can get the Neva 56lb scale all over eBay "Buy It Now" for $11.50 plus shipping. Personally.. I'd grab a 7001DX!! :)

Re: Buying a scale?
^ I agree i bought the 7001DX after some advice here months ago and havent been dissapointed yet it is amazing and comes with alot for a little price.
I am guessing you want a big one to do other stuff with, if I need a scale for other stuff I will buy another...but the way I see it my scale is for my snakes...like my dog bowl is for my dog...I would never share his bowl with my snake nor will I share my snakes scale with my dog, but that is just me kinda weird with the little things....lol what did i just say
Anyways yeah get the 7001DX you will love it.
Side note: Just kinda wondering why you did choose a 56lb scale?
