    Veterinarians in Wayne County, MI
I have a problem with my baby ball, and I need to take him to a vet asap! The problem is, I just called my normal vet thats in Westland, and shes out on medical for at least 3 weeks- but the receptionist said maybe longer!!:( So do any of you know any GOOD vets around the Wayne County area that treat reptiles? Please and thank you!!

Thank you very much.. And Im not completely positive- but by his belly near his tail, it used to be a beautiful golden-yellow, but a couple days ago it started to turn a purple-ish gray color, and now its got some white specs in it (like his scales are loosing their color), and its starting to spread up now, and instead of it just being by the tail its moving up closer to his middle.... And also, hes getting kind of bloated and has been very restless.. And I dont know whats wrong- but I want to find out ASAP.

Well, hopefully he's just getting ready to drop you a big ol' stinky present. However, a trip to the vet is always in order if you feel something is wrong. You know your snake and you're in the best position to tell if something is truly out of the ordinary. I hope you find someone to help you!!!

If it's not too late...bag up that poop and take it with you so the vet can check for worms/parasites.

    Good luck!

Re: Veterinarians in Wayne County, MI
She said that he was fine, that he was swollen because there was still a little bit of.. mouse I guess you could say lol, left in him. But she couldent exsplain the purple/grayish coloring. She x-rayed him and everything and couldent figure out was it was, but she said she didnt think it was bruised. And she said that his scales losing their pigment was ok, and that some balls (and other snakes) do that sometimes, and it normaly doesnt get too bad, but if I felt it was to take him back in... So I guess hes ok, well see how things go the next few weeks.
