yeah some of my normals have a faded head..where did you buy him from? if he was sold as a normal he prob is a normal

It would be highly unlikely that a BP bought as a normal would turn out to be a cinny. Still, we always keep hoping that someone would get lucky that way. ;)

If you bought it as a normal it is more then likely what you have. Colors and patterns of normal BP vary.
Do you have a picture of your BP so we can tell you whether or not you have a normal or something else?

well i got him/her at petco so thats why i was kind of hoping they could have messed up.

Highly unlikely .... those petco ball pythons go through many different peoples hands before they make it into the displays there. All of those people know EXACTLY what a cinny looks like and would not accidentally sell a $15 animal to PetCo that they could get a couple hundred for from a wholesaler. It's kind of like the car dealer "accidentally" selling you a mercedes for the price of a kia. Could it happen? Sure, anything could happen. Did it happen? Not very likely.

Robin, I think the cinnie in the top right corner of the top pic, is the smae as in the pic with the machine...if I am not mistaken..they look the same.

Well I do know for a fact that the petco near me had a Xanthic on display for $99 dollars. And it was a big one at least 4 ft long. But I just could not have a second snake, I should have bought it and taken it to the vet had it checked out and resold it, but I didn't. I am sure that snake did not last more that two days at the store...

axanthic? are you sure? thats a 2K snake going for 99 bucks? i bet the person who put it up there knew that some lines "brown out" so they chose one (normal) that looked like an axanthic adult and labled it as so

A Xanthic? Otherwise know as Caramel Albino. I think they would have known something was up with the snake if it was yellow and Caramel colored. Those sell for $3000 plus for a hatchling, not a 4' animal. That was obviously mislabeled.

Actually this snake was only grey and black. NO BROWN at all. It was a beauty, but it definitely had ticks and it was huge. I just could not buy it no matter what the cost.
It was in a small 10 gal aquarium with two small normals. No special labling just $69 for juviniles and $99 for adult.

this was a petco? I've never seen adults in petco before. I thought they just did strictly babies, and am equally suprised that they were selling the adult for more rather than less.

nice looking normal...
i wish they came up with a different name then "normals"... there is such a wide variety of patterns and color shades that tons of snake look totally different from a so called "normal".

I just got a new big female (2,000 grams) at the kansas city reptile show and her head is VERY light in color compared to the rest of her. I love her head but im 100% sure shes no cinny and sadly, neither is yours. Nice snake though.
