Good news day!

Today was one of those days you just have to celebrate! When I came home from work, I found our female spider had laid 4 nice eggs. I'd about given up on her laying this year. I hope to hear some bee's buzzing in about 58 days . . . :D


Then I opened up one of our egg boxes in the incubator and found all 6 babies had made it out of their eggs during the day. 2 normals, 2 black pastels and 2 black pewters!
:carrot: I am soooo excited! Here are pics of one of the black pastels and one of the little silver gems of a pewter.

These are the first pewters we've produced. They are so amazing looking. I can't wait to see them after their first shed.

Congrats Alice. I love Pewters, and those are no exception. I was hoping to make some this year, but the female didn't cooperate. There's always next year. Congrats on those beauties, I'm so green.

Thanks Derek. We usually don't sex our hatchlings for a few days to let them settle down into their new surroundings. I should know by this weekend.

Will do. He's going out to work at Jungle this Friday. Work really means that he's going to play with the panthers, ring-tail lemurs, and all the other animals. . .
