    Transformers Movie
Who has seen it? Who liked it and who hated it? I've seen it twice already and you can tell people are into it. Both times I saw it people clapped in the opening when it said "Transformers" and when Optimus Prime made his first appearance and of course the end.

Mike wassup? How ya been. Is it real violent? I wanna go see it and take a 3 1/2 year old who would love to see it but I'm thinking this ain't like the cartoon and is probably a bit much for the little monster.

I definately want to see it. I was a tomboy as a kid, and LOVED the TV show and had a bunch of the figures. I wish that I could find them but my mom's basement is a frightening place!

Haha, definitely ditto on that! Those figures that "transformed" kicked some major ass!

Heya Raul. Well, it's robot fighting but no blood from humans but just from scratches they get. There's some racey humor for a 3 year old in there but at 3 he wont know what they're talking about haha. But it's just plain bad ass.

Just got back, and WOW! I was expecting it to be great, but no where near as entertaining as it actually was. We couldn't stop talking about it all the way home, and each of us had a different favorite part.

I was totally blown away :D

As for taking kids...well I took Marc, my 7 yr old, of course. I'm not sure I would take a 3 yr old, mainly because it's SO long, my son couldn't have sat still that long at 3. But yeah, while there is mild violence, there was no blood. Also a bit of mild language, so that's just a parental call.

This is one we'll run out to get the dvd the day it comes out for sure.

awsome movie! I was surprised, I thought it was going to be more like a kids movie. Very good story line and very good graphics... it had alot of funny moments too.

I have seen it twice and I am sure I'll get it when it comes out on video.

I love how they kept that sound they make when they transform!

    Good Stuff!

    Amazing movie !!

A good chunk of the movie was filmed here in Alamogordo N.M......They filmed at our saw mill, White Sands National Monument and on Holloman airforce base, alot of people got hired by dreamworks and as extra's/ actors , Alot of my friends got to be extras in the soldier scenes, i saw alot of people i reconized. I was busy almost the whole time they were shooting so i didnt get a chance at my 15 minutes !? oh well

buuuuuttt........I DID get to meet josh Duhamel though ! We were just hangin out at a restaurant on the Base (called J.R, rockers) and he just walked in ! Really cool guy and super down to earth. :)

I saw it and loved it, easily one of the greatest movies I have seen. I don't se any reason why a 3 1/2 year old couldn't see it. Only violence there is with the robots, no blood or any kind of gore, there were a lot of kids in the theater I went too. There is a lot of "implied" cursing, as in the never finish the word. For example "Son of a...*they get interrupted*" or one that I noticed a lot was "Mother....*interruption*" So they never actually get the curse word off.

I was very happy to see the acting was more then I had though I would of seen, there was no sappy love story, and the CGI was unreal. I plan to see it again if I have time and will be owning it when it hits DVD. It came out July 3rd and has already pulled in $151.6 Million dollars, want it to beat out spiderman 3 really badly, lol.

Quick side note about the work it takes for this film. Think about this. It takes 24 MAN HOURS to make ONE SINGLE frame of the cgi when the robots are fighting....K, thats a lot, but not much right? Well, when it takes 32 FRAMES to make ONE second of real time, NOW thats...a lot...

Ugh, words will never be able to describe this movie, it left me awestruck.

Transformers was the highest budget film ever made  and it was the highest grossing movie on opening day ever made.

    Some neat facts:
The man that did the voice of Otimus Prime was the same as the cartoon.

The sound used when they transform was the same sound with slight additions.

The way in which they transform was based on the cartoon.

    :D

If you don't mind your kid hearing the word "b1tch" a few times then you'll be fine.

It was great as far as special effects go. The story line was borderline B-movie status. The biggest problem I had was that the good guys were nancys. Seriously other than optimus prime the other transformers had about as much action as an extra eating spaghetti in the background. Behold "Ironhide" the autobots weapon specialists, who uses a grand total of 0 weapons the entire movie, and "Ratchet", the autobots mechanic, who also fails to fix anything during its lengthy 180 minute runtime. It would have been alot better if megatron would have just obliterated everything 20 minutes in with the credits shortly following. It was watchable but not worth a second $8.50 ticket price.

lol ur so right...ironhide didnt use his weapons that much...only a few times but he did some cool barrell rolls and ratchet didnt do any "fixing", he couldnt even put jazz back together or fix bumblebee's voice.

I saw it on Wednesday and thought it was great.
There are (like all movies) some plot holes and things that could have been done differently. Overall though, it kept me entertained and that's what I paid money for.

If you grew up watching Transformers as a kid like I did, it was great to hear Optimus Prime's voice again.
