whats the best water to use distilled or just tap. I use tap with that stupid reptisafe stuff but it just makes the water smell.

Plain old tap water should be fine. I would recommend puting her in some shallow water, about 3/4" deep. If she is dehydrated, you should be able to see her drinking within a few minutes. I soak all of my snakes that I buy at a show, once I get them back to the hotel room, as I know they have had a long trip, most of the time, without a source of wtaer. I usually observe them drinking almost as soon as they hit the water. Hope that helps, and keep us posted on how she does.

You could try letting it soak, some of the water can get through the scales I believe and hydrate it and she will probably drink some while shes there. Ive seen the guy in my herp store do it for a dehydrated snake.

Yeah I gonna feel really bad if something happens to her. I really do take care of my animals I just didnt take the time to examine her as well as i thought. I dont want anyone on here to think that i dont take care of my snakes. And i really am greatful for the advice that i am given on this site.

I have the same thing going on with my RTB. I have been giving a bath every couple of days. I treat the bath water and her water bowl with this stuff I got from the pet sotre to assist in hydration and to build his stomach up, after several regurges. I also just treated for mites on the little guy. I have been feeding small fuzzy's every 5 days, to try to build up his stomach (3 weeks so far). I know its hard not to kinda of throw the towl in, but so far what I am doing is working. I hoping to get him back on hoppers every 7 days soon. He is small anyways, 6 months old, 24 inches. I just wish I would have checked him better when I bought him. Hope this helps.

Something to help rehydrate your animal.

Mix unflavored, uncolored Peda-lite with water 50:50. Its very gentle, no sugar and helps replace the electrolytes in your snake.

I was thinking of something like that but was unsure if it would harm her or not.
Thanks alot I have some prevent a mite on the way should be here tomorrow I hope. that should wipe ot my mite problem I guess that reptile relief stuff works good on the snake itself so i may go buy some of that right now i have that mite off crap. It really is crap here is a list of the ingrediants.

carrot, corn oil, glycerin(soap), onion powder, orange pulp, soy bean oil, tallow, and vanillin (whatever this stuff is) seems like a joke to me. lol

Lily, moms red tail boa, we got back in september of last year. We go her in Bellevue Wa,as her previous owner was giving her up and needed her gone because the snake struck at her. We got her emeciated VERY THIN and dehydrated. poor Lily was only getting a small/medium rat every two weeks and she was 4ft long then, not enough food for her ever growing bod.

We misted her many times a day, and had to keep her humidity up to 80%, she had three HORRIBLE molts in 3 months, and well her first month here she ate over 10large rats and several of Chester's small rats.

Now she is barelly over 7ft when fully stretched and has gigantic great dane poo.

Sorry went off topic there, but what im saying is we kept her humidity a bit over the top untill she wasnt so dry and prickly feeling, basically kept it hi like this for 3 weeks, hen brought it down to 75% and now its at 65% on the usual.

If your snake is having regurgitation and dehidration issues it is time for a vet visit. Maybe it has internal parasites? I really couldnt tell you but it sounds like somthing more then just your snake not drinking enough.
