Yay!
I just bought a T10 from Animal Plastics! I'm so excited! I think it'll be here in like 6-8 weeks. I've been saving for this for so long!

Re: Yay!
You will love it, what options did you get with it?

Re: Yay!
swing doors with locks, belly heat, and it was all on sale from $230 to like $190! and they sent the reciet saying 2-4 weeks instead. i'll put up pictures when i get it!
do you know what a basking shelf is? they threw that in for free...

Re: Yay!
Animal Plastics is great, but they're so busy lately I wouldn't expect it in less than 4 weeks.
The rack I bought recently, they said 3-4 weeks and it took 4 weeks and 1 day. I'll probably be ordering another soon, I already checked with them and it's still 3-4 weeks so they're still just as busy.

The basking shelf is a small raised shelf inside the cage, which I doubt a BP would ever use, I've seen pictures of it somewhere and thought it was a waste of space. If you have any problems putting it together or anything let me know, I have two of them.

Re: Yay!
so my cage came today! i'm so excited. me and a couple of friends put it together a few hours ago, and it's looking really awesome. we got like 3/4 of the way done and i was like, "PICTURES! we need pictures!" so we took some of it. i'll take more as the work progresses. the sealer/caulkish stuff is drying for now, untill about tomorrow night. then i get it all set up and let the temps level out. my girl should be moved in wednsday i think. then i'll let her adjust for a week. i'll post pictures little by little as it gets put together and finished! oh man it is so cool! AP rules! not one complaint about them!

Re: Yay!
my one and only ball. she's in this little sterelite container and she definately needs a bigger space. she's gonna need the room because she's a year old and is 38" and 815g already!

Re: Yay!
so it's finished. finally. the temps regulated really well so she moved in earlier this evening. i'm going away for a few days so that'll give her time to adjust. but onto the pics!

i put the basking shelf in just for the heck of it. she loves to cruise at night so i figured why not? it's something else to climb on.

my dad and i built this today. going to make another matching one for the other side. but she has a shoe box there temporarliy.
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2/100_9714.jpg
added the aspen. it's going to be hard to change it, but that's what shop vacs are for right??
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2/100_9719.jpg
this was what she was living in before this tank. it's about a third of the size of the new one.
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2/100_9720.jpg
everything is moved.
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2/100_9721.jpg
a little overview. everything is in place. all it needs now is it's inhabitant!
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2/100_9723.jpg
what's this? what's this? there's more space everywhere! what's this? there's room for me to spare! what's this?
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2/100_9726.jpg
I can't believe my eyes, I must be dreaming! Wake up, Cleo, this isn't fair! What's this?
http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...2/100_9728.jpg
ahhh, that's what i was looking for! heat and a dark space!
i feel loads better that she's in a nice new tank that she'll be able to live in for the rest of her life. she's got all the room she'll need and shouldn't be cramped ever again.
thanks animal plastics! the customer service was awesome. they got back to me right away when i had questions and they were dead on with the shipping date. you guys rock!
so that's it. that's the new tank. it's pretty awesome. i'll definately be ordering again from these guys!

Re: Yay!
nice cage...i know your bp must be loving it....great!

Re: Yay!
The cage looks great, I am about to order my third T-10 for my King and wondering about the basking shelf option, how does it mount inside?
-
Re: Yay!
there's little slots in the back (4 to be exact) and you just get someone to hold the supports in the slots and then screw them in. she seems to be enjoying it so i'm glad i put it in.

Re: Yay!
Very nice set up you have there and even more room for your baby than I've given Monty - I feel guilty now :)
I keep thinking about trying a naturalistic looking substrate but newspaper is just so easy to deal with. Will definitely try and get a nice piece of driftwood like you have put in there, it should also help with shedding.
Congrats!
