Found a disturbing insect

I found this on my boyfriends pants early this morning. At first i thought it was a tick [freaked out], so i killed it, well i tried. It didnt die, so Smushed as hard as I could. That's weird!!!

it's a pseudoscorpion. They're beneficial if you like gardening, they eat nematodes, mites and such.

That is a load off my shoulders. I thought that I had left the can of mountain dew and bag of doritos on the floor for too long and i grew some new crazy tick hybrid. that would be just my luck too...

pseudoscorps are really cool little critters.. I've always wanted to find one, they just look so cool (to me) they are even found in fossilized amber.

pseudoscorpion tis one of them :P, image ia scorpion tick, they would be bloody deadly :P

Cute! We used to find them in the chaff when we cleaned the goat mangers. I always though they were adorable, LOL.

Pseudoscorpions are cool bugs. They're harmless to you or your animals.... unless you are or keep insects for pets. :D

holy $hit! ive never seen anything like that and my parents OWN the pest control company i work for

eeew where do you live so I can avoid it? lol I love scorpions, but that thing is creepy, to tick like for my taste

What an amazing little critter! I've seen the black ones, but not red. I love the pic on that site of the little guy hitching a ride on the crane fly! Insect Xtreme Sports! LOL!
