What did you do today?

I just thought this'd be fun.. what did You do on this regular ol' Thursday?
I went into work at 8am, thinking that I was on until 5pm.. turns out I was only scheduled until noon! I gladly shut down my computer, packed up and hauled it home. I stopped at my friend's pet store and bought two catfish for my tank.
I cleaned the house and did 2 loads of laundry and swept about 2 square miles (seemingly, lol) of dusty hardwood floor..
I then cleaned the Jeep from stem to stern. I Shop-Vac'd the inside, took the rugs out down to the bare metal and got every pine needle and stone out.. then Armor-Alled the interior and washed the outside. I got some bad scuffs off of the door areas from my sandals that I am glad the mister didn't see ;) Then I spritzed the interior with some yummy Febreze and called it a day :)
Then I ate a TV dinner and went into the house, went onto BP.Net, and created a thread asking what you did today.
Plans for later? If Mark gets out early, we'll watch our newest Netflix. if not: call my friend and BS on the phone for a few hours.

Sounds fun ;). I went to work at 8AM, I've been on and off bp.net all day, finished my work around 3PM, passing the time on YouTube watching dumb videos of fat people dancing. Now I'm on here counting down the minutes untill 5 o'clock so I can head to the gym and then go home. :D

Went to sleep at 5 A.M. ,
Woke up at 3
Took care of the snakes
Shaved my head
and then played on the computer

Goodness, you were full of energy!

I took today off since I got the books and filing done in the first half of the week. I'll have to make up for it tomorrow, but I had packages of snakes to receive and get into tubs and stuff. Not mine, just a favor for a good friend :D

Then I ran up to Sonic for a Diet Dr. Pepper with cherry added, as I was craving soda and had NONE in the house. For those of you who are forced to live without Sonic, you have my sympathy. Came home and reheated some leftover Chicken Florentine Lasagna for lunch. Yum!

Then I fed and watered all the mice.

Then I did a photo shoot of the new snakes, hopefully my daughter will upload them to my shared drive soon so they can be posted by the proud mama!

I still need to go clean my kitchen and figure out a dinner plan. Later this evening we will go to the skating rink for family night. I really think I might buy some quads so I can learn how to skate-dance, which you can't do on inlines.

Got up at 7:45, took a shower... got to work around 9:30. Did a lot of organizational stuff. Created some new binders and put Misc. items where they belonged (this job was being covered by 4 people who were also doing other things... so stuff is scattered all over). Went to lunch and had a roast beef sandwich while I read a little bit of my current book, The Minotaur Wars. Came back to work. Continued organizing. Looked up some hotels in Louisville for a trip the execs are taking in Sept. Now I'm listening to some music and bouncing up and down in my chair because I'm antsy to get outta here (waiting to meet for what will hopefully be a short amount of time with a co-worker of mine to go over a few things). Plus I'm not used to sitting this long anymore! It kinda hurts after awhile......

hah, I wish you had asked this about yesterday, cuz yesterday was fun :)


today I got up at 7:30, made a pot of coffee and shuffled into my office for work.
after lunch (sammich!) I took an afternoon nap, and upon waking up I watered my terrariums, fed the fish, and checked on my snake.

worked a few more hours, took a shower, and now I am checking the boards before having dinner and writing a report for my Jeep club.

pretty easy day for me...work is a little slow this week :D

Got up, took care of all critters, cleaned house, cook food. Then off to work, hit self in wrist with steel hammer[ no broken bones], go swing hammer some more, now I'm on break. 1 more day to survive before vacation!!:sabduel:

I got up and went to work. While there I cleaned out approximately 500 2006 baby ball python tubs and gave them all new bedding and water bowls. I also checked all of our 07 babies to see who ate and who didn't, refilled their water bowls. Then come 3pm I was beat and headed back on home. Got home and cleaned out my snakes rack and all of the rat bins. Took a shower and I'm totally beat now but my boyfriend just called and now I'm going out to dinner and to a movie. :)

So yeah that is/was my Thursday so far. :)

LUCKY!! LOL!

I woke up at 7:00 went to MAC camp from 8:00 to 9:30 (today was agility.So lots of running, then we had 30 minutes of streching, every thursday. Came home, showered, got on BP.net, checked on my snakes, on and off the computer. At some lunch, frozen pizza. Played video games, went to EB games so my brother could buy some games for our trip. And one of my friends came over untill her mom could pick her up, and now shes gone , and my dad got home, and now I am here!! Normally I would be outside playing sports, but 2 of my friends(twins) are at schlitterbaun, and my other 2 friends...well..Idk where there at..lol. Only 1 day fleft till my vacation too!!! Yeah EL PASO!:rockon:

I had my usual dull day.:)


Snake chat till 6am (ish).
On here till 8.45 am.
Went to bed.
Got up at 12.30pm.
Signed on and checked job boards at 2.30pm- applied for a couple of intresting sounding jobs and about 10 rotten sounding ones.
Transfered yet MORE money from snake account to cover unexpected expensces (sp?).
Bought a free standing fan for when summer arrives (scheduled july 2nd - 5th folks, wrap up warm).
Bought a small hand wound shredder to stop the tramps laughing at my bank statements.
Got home by 5pm and assembled same.
Re-wired the 2 cornsnake tanks to get everything (heatmat, light)consolidated into one plug for heat and one for light per tank with an extra dimmer control on the heatlamp for fine tuning. In the process got 3 powerstrips back which I used for fanpoints in the bedroom and living room and signal booster for bedroom digital tv box.
Sat down here at 7.45pm and logged in.

Still no signs of that life I ordered in 1984 but I live in hope.

Alright, here mine goes.

Got back from a somewhat crummy date (who the heck tells a Texan that country music and two-stepping is 'stupid'?!?!) around 1:45. (too bad it wasn't sooner). Washed my face and put on my pj's (in a manor of speaking). Logged into Bp.net and hoped people were still in 8ball chat (nope). Hung around for a bit then decided I'd get some shut-eye.

Woke up at 6:30 to get ready for class. Was at class from 8-12, went to DPS to get a new drivers license since mine was stolen. Luckily there was no line at all, was home by 12:30. Spent the rest of the day between eating/napping/taking care of my 7 yr old brother/Bp.net/finalizing the details of the purchase of my new sumatran STP/and cleaning snake cages. woo-hoo.

took 2 finals one from 9-11 the other from 2-3:30
now im trying, very unsuccessfully I might add to write a program in java, and I'm terrible at it, and I'm getting nowhere, and I'm going to fail for sure... wah.

Totally boring day for me! Up at 5am, into the office by 7am. Waited around ALL day for a new software build that just happened (30 min before I leave) so I spent the whole day reading the various snake forums I belong to and playing Dice Wars :P

Now it's home to check on the snakies and then friends over to play games. Hmm..maybe make pizzas for dinner.

and...since all employees are going to see "Transformers" tomorrow, I'll stay home and sleep in!

Well, it's one of those dances that you can't just "feel" your way through. you and your partner need to know what your doing to not look/feel foolish. Takes practice to blend in, skill to look good, and pure talent to make everyone go "wow". I'm still workin on the "wow" part, but I gotta say I love two-steppin. I can understand why some people arn't too fond of Country music, however to call it stupid... well, your liable to get shot around these parts (we like our guns too! :P lol).

I worked from 8 AM to 4 PM at the community club I am a member of. I worked from 4 PM until 8:30 tonight at my other job. When I leave here I am going back to the community club to work until 10:30. Then I am going to 25 cent draft night at a favorite bar of mine. Pretty much sums up my day.

Induced vomiting on a dog, dug through dog vomit to find a swallowed sewing needle and thread.

It'll be here about 40 more yrs. Just about the time you change your mind about wanting it.:P

Picked up my boss from his office before 8am and headed over to do some network changes to a special education school and some other buildings I am in charge of. We just had these buildings rewired so the infrastructure is MUCH more stable and efficient. Moving network switches, installing gbic modules for fiber connectivity, and patching in all the computers took us most of the morning.

In the afternoon I worked on getting a computer lab setup at yet another building of mine. This building once I'm done will be a certified CompTIA testing site where students (and others) can come in and take certification tests such as the A+ exams and others. Tomorrow morning myself as well as the actual instructor of the class that this ties into will be taking an exam ourselves of which when we are done will be certified Pearson Vue Test Administrators. Even though its summer he has two kids who are coming in tomorrow afternoon to try and pass their A+ certs...hopefully all goes well and THEY do well. I will actually be weaseling my way into some of the tests we will be able to offer...never can have to many certifications :)

Later on I took the atv out to the back pasture to check out a hawk's nest that Mark found. Spent an hour annoying a hawk mama by my mere presence within 100 yards of her tree.. rode around and marveled at what a drought we are going thru back there. Then Mark got home and actually showed me the exact tree that the nest is in; watched the mom and baby fly around and mom squawk at us more..
Got home and are watching Bon Jovi concert on VH1.

As for me, I woke up around 10am, piddled around intul 12:30 when I went to my chem class, got my test back from said class (yay for chem tests :sabduel: ). Then class got out around 3:30, so I came home and cleaned out cages until dinner was ready, and now i'm here :P

I woke up at 6, ate breakfast, brushed teeth, kissed the wife goodbye and headed on post. I sat in a classroom for 3 hours with non -stop authentic Korean listening. At 11:25 I came home for lunch, at 12:15 back in the classroom for another 3 hours of Korean. 1 hour of Korean Military topics and then 1 hour of Physical Training. Come home, find my PG&E bill, and insurance bill (yay). Took a shower, checked on the snake; still laying in the hide. In 15 minutes I'll cook dinner, and start doing some homework.

Woke up at 6AM, got out of bed at 7AM, went to work at 7:30AM.


Worked until 4:15PM (seemed like FOREVER today)

Called a customer to make sure everything was okay with a shipment while on the drive home..

4:20-5:00 stuck in Los Angeles Traffic.

5:00 home, checked eggs, cleaned tubs, let dog in....

Now chatting it up with people, laundry, and multitasking on the internet!!!

i woke up at 8.00 and went to my old junior high at 9 to be a marching band tech for the little ones. left at 11, went home for about 45 minutes and left for a noon sectional (that's when one section in the band gets together on their own time to work on music, marching, ect.) started actual band at 1 (marching up and down the field at 200 steps a minute- really fast!, and learning "drill"- it's the marching we do for our field show- and a field show is when we march around the football field making crazy formations and playing crazy music)

that'll give you an idea of what we do- it's a lot of work and the personal trainer says we work harder than the football team.

then we got a lunch break where i went to culver's with my parents for my birthday, but then it was back to band at 5

that lead us in to the longest, most tedious music rehersal i've ever been in. we stand in rows on our auditorium stage and practice the music we play in our show. they brought in this guy from university of illinois, and we had to stand at our attention position for 3 hours straight, holding a trombone. but my section got so tired that we just started laughing at everything, so that made it better. it'd seem very stupid to everyone, because we were so slap happy...oh man, marching band.

then i went home to a little cake, and my parents got my grandfather's manual camera cleaned and repaired for me. they also gave me all the stuff i need to go to the dmv next week. it was small, but nice.

a tiring, but fun day mostly! and yes, i'm a band geek. it's my life, and i love it. and yes, i've been to band camp...oh the stories...but i'll stop while i'm ahead...he he he...

In my post, I mentioned I really want to learn to skate dance. This is the hottest thing going at the skating rink these days, but you have to have quads to do it:

woke up 430am.. went to first formation for the day at 0500... saluted the flag... did warm up stretch's.. ran 4 miles.. cool down stretch's... went home to shower/change/eat... went to work call formation at 0900... went to go work on patriot launchers that were broken... went to lunch at 12.. came back from lunch at 1330... went back outside to work on launchers... *keep in mind by 9am it was about 92F and by 1330 it was 104F*...... lugged all the test equipment/tools/parts/circuit cards back to the office.. had end of day formation at 1630.... went home... picked up family.. went out to eat... watered grass... cleaned house.... cleaned my RTB's tank.... put some reptile spray on her... played with her for about an hour... took shower........ sitting at my computer..... just a glimpse :P

I got up late this morning @ 6:30 am. Didn't have to make lunch for hubby today. Drank some coffee, took a shower. Made the kids breakfast, fed the pups. Then I sat around all day, did laundry, cleaned the house ( not really lol just made it look I did, I have to scrub tomorrow. Don't tell shaun lol) Played with two cute squishy, giggly kids and two furry pups. Watched a movie with my kids (over the hedge). Then Shaun came home, we hung out, ate dinner. Put the kids to bed, fed all the critters, played with the roaches. Now I am sitting at the computer :D

I woke up around 9...showered....watered rats/snakes until about 11.

Headed to work...where I am now...waiting for a saltwater coral/fish shipment so I can put that out the entire rest of the day.

So until then I'm browsing forums.

Then headed home...dinner...then out for the night...

Hey, I played with the roaches yesterday too!!! Started with about 240 nymph Blaptica Dubia's, now have hundreds of babies!!! They sure are hard to separate!! The Bearded Dragons will eat maybe 1 adult male a day (I've got way too many males!). The baby Tegu won't eat the baby or nymph roaches. We may have to find another herp that will eat roaches!

Typical work day - Alarm goes off at 4:45am; get in the shower at 4:55am; get dressed; get Bearded Dragons & Veiled Chameleon salad; give baby Tegu a couple of stuffed mice or something he might eat; make my lunch; leave at 5:55am for work; at work at 6:25am; read email (home and work) BP.net, BeardedDragon.org, theTegu.com & CNN.com; 7am check weight & get water, 7:15am actually start working; lunch at 11:40am; leave work at 4:31pm; go home to wife and kids; feed the Bearded Dragons & Veiled Chameleon; make dinner; veg; play with Bearded Dragons ans Tegu (maybe a snake); read the forums; check email; play with snakes (possibly while doing any of the last 6 steps); between 10:30pm and 1:00am go to bed.

Repeat as necessary.

Most of you people need to have some kids so you don't have so much free time!!! I miss the simple things in life!

Today i brought my wife and beautiful (five day old) baby daughter home from the hospital. It don't get much better than that!!!!:carrot:

Today I worked a full day and dealt with end-of-month stress and rush-hour small-town traffic (try passing a tractor in a narrow two-lane with someone in an ancient pickup barreling behind you and a granny in a Lincoln swerving into your oncoming lane!)
Now I am home where I can finnnnnalllly unwind! An evening of lounging, internet, good eatin's, girlfriend-phone-BS/catching up, and welcoming my man home after a bubble bath are in the cards tonight~!

can't remember what i did yesterday but today:

woke up at 7:30 which is waaaaaaaay too early in my world. normally i get up around 9:30-10
talked to my eldest daughter on the phone while she walked to work.
got served coffee in bed by my hubby.
gandalf the grey... our oldest corn snake came into bed for a little cuddle time... more like... slither away fast time LOL
drake came out to check his face (no added swelling)
snakes got their water changed

silkworms got counted (400 in packages of 20) and ready to go to the petstore, the rest got fed.
silkworm moths done breeding were fed to chameleon
all the fish tanks got their lights turned on and then fed.

got daughter to feed her critters (ratties and bunny... and fish) and eat something so we could leave.

off to get hair cut. 11am
then to iris to order new frames for my daughter.
back in car and off to another town... about 45 minutes away to deliver silkworms.

found out employee had her baby 3 days ago and was coming into the store so i waited around to gush over baby.
macdonals nuggets for daughter.
off to mall to buy baby gift.

stop in for sushi

drive home... hit another two petstores on the way.
get home... off to video store to rent dvds.
come home... watch 'alpha dog'
turn off all fishtank lights
hubby got home at end of movie (9pm)
finally get to computer and reply to emails and do a quick check on the forum and now i'm off to bed.

and yup... i did not get around to walking the dog myself today... my kids did the walks instead of me. :rainon:

Today: Worked a full 8 hours due to end-of-month, and Mark is tattooing all day anways. Shopped for groceries on lunch hour. Got mild case of justified road-rage when person in front of me was going 40 in a 55 mph zone.. passed my first vehicle since starting to drive! :) Went home and cleaned barn to let horses in and prepare for much-need rain/thunderstorm heading our way. Dinner: Rice and Golden Mushroom Campbell's soup garnished with shredded parm cheese.. mmm!

Did laundry, cleaned snakes, lizards, frogs, clean basement, garage, library,kitchen. Feed and water everyone but snakes. Was supposed to go horseback riding, too many critters to clean. House has to be perfect. I started vacation today and have 2 dinner parties slated for the week. AAURGHH!!


Must get off computer!! Have to work!!!:(

I ended my day with some fun laundry and kitchen cleaning.. lol. I had to put all of our bedding through the wash and then the antibacterial/microbial dryer setting.. but it will be nice to sleep with fewer microbes! ;)

Did some house cleaning; cleaned 6 reptile water bowls and some spot cleaning (need to do a full cleaning of my BP's tank tomorrow); brought the veiled chameleon, tegu, trinket snake and red american toad our son found to our favorite local pet store to show them off, they have a female veiled chameleon that likes to put on a dance when we bring ours :D ; a local guy that does reptile rescue was there (my wife has talked to him a few times before), arranged to go to his house to look at the small collection he has; went to his house (brought our new BP that won't eat), met his wife & BIG dog, met his reptiles including a pair of beautiful agamas, an alligator lizard (very rare), and a few more common snakes and lizards; he said the BP should never have been sold - he thinks it has never had it's first meal or shed; he gave as another screened cage for our chameleon and a few reptile magazines; we went home and he and his wife went to talk to the pet store that is selling the too young BP's; put kids to bed; sat at computer checking forums; time for bed.
