    Butterscotch vs. Orange

Does anyone have pictures of both? I want to see them next to each other to see how they differ.

And which do you prefer? and what makes the best honeybees?

Oh yea...just making sure my genetics are correct. A honeybee is a spider + ghost or is it a bumblebee + ghost?

Some of those 'mixed' hypos that Adam has produced are smokin' hot. Definately my favorites.

I did not know there where different types of ghost? I thought Yellow/Butterscotch/Orange were all the same?

Does anyone have pics of Butterscotch and Orange? I want to see how mine are going to turn out compared to the orange.

I agree, I always thought (and was told by various other breeders) that butterscotch ghosts and orange ghosts are exactly the same thing, just different lines. The orange ghosts are NERD's line and the butterscotch are another line, I'm not sure who from, maybe Ian G?

    Re: Butterscotch vs. Orange
The butterscotch/yellow/orange/green ghosts are all supposed to be compatible (there maybe one or two lines out there that are known not to be). (Desert ghost is something completely different, and so i s peach, I believe.)

I would think it's a bit of selective breeding and different lines, really.

I voted for orange. How can you not love the photo that NERD has of their honeybee.

Yea, I heard that it's really selective breeding. I still voted for orange, because nerds line of oranges are HOTT

I originated the Butterscotch line from an import hatchling Ghost back in around 1992. Here she is as a hatchling.

The butterscotch ghost that I've seen over here isn't nearly as ghost like as the Orange, looks almost normal. So I voted Orange

Here is my '06 female from Precision Reptiles in Germany

I have great examples of both. I like both about the same but I plan on crossing my two female orange hypo's with my caramel. So I guess I like orange a little more.

Here is a pic of my butterscotch male. I like him because his ghost characteristics really stand out to me.

Here is one of my females. I love the somewhat reduced pattern and the very orange coloration. I think she will make a great combo with the caramel. If you look close you can see where a rat bit her today during feeding time. I didn't even notice it until I uploaded the pictures on photobucket. Time to get out the triple antibiotic.

    Thanks for looking, David

My Yellow/Butterscotch male from 8ball, this guy GLOWS. I think he gives most orange ghosts I've seen a good run for their money.
