    Getting KSB Pair on Saturday!!!
Wow. After all this reasearch I finally am going to get them.

They were the first KSB's I ever seen on the Philly Craigslist.

The lady works at a vet and one of the doctors gave them to her a few weeks ago because she was going to start breeding them but she decided to go with Bearded Dragons instead.

They look great. One has the bright yellow and the other has the bright orange.

Going to go pick up a 20 gallon in a few minutes and look for some other stuff.

The adoption fee for the pair is 75 bucks.

I seen the pics and they look like they are in great health as well. Her and her husband have lots of reps so I tihnk i'm safe.

Awesome! That's a great deal and I'm sure you'll love them. I have one KSB and he is such an interesting snake, I love how he feels like a little rubber toy :P

im not real familiar with Kenyan sand boas but i do know that they stay very small. Is a 20 gallon really necessary, even for a pair?

They actually get to a decent size.

Prob no bigger than 2.5 ft but they have a bit of thickness for a smaller snake.

A 2 gallon can comfortably fit a pair from what I've read on several sites.

I too own a female KSB and they are just great! I believe males get up to about 15" and females can get up to 2.5. Personally I think a 20gl for female and a 10gl for a male would be perfect.

Oh ok, I guess that would be about right. I dont really know there preferences other than they love to burrow. Everytime I walk by there enclosure in the stores there out of site. So I didnt really think they liked a lot of free space kind of like balls.

They do spend most of the day hiding, but mine loves to come out and explore at night so its still good to have some space and decorations in the cage. I love staying up to watch him.

A 10g for an adult male and a 20g for an adult female is a good choice.. those guys are young though, so I'd suggest a plastic shoebox size enclosure for now.. and keep them separate, not in the same cage.

They're very cute! KSBs are super fun snakes.

    Well got them this morning.

Def looks like a male and female by looking at the vents.

Male is a fiesty little one and snapped my finger. No biggie.

Female is really mellow and will sit right in my hand.

Havent thought of any cool names for them yet.

    Any name suggestions?

When we got ours, our them 9 year old son called him Spot. He was past to our then 7 year old son who changed the name to Digger. I'm sure than didn't help you much, but I'm just letting you know our KSB's name.

My two KSB's are George and Fred. It was George and Gracie until I found out Gracie was a boy. I like people names on sand boas for some reason.. it's just cute. My roughscaled is Demeter though..
