My cat is acting all wierd and sick and meowing and i love him sooo much of course! he's everyones favorite cat because he loves everybody and hes just a big guy. Well i just hope he gets better there doesnt seem to be anything visually wrong with him so im hoping it passes, if not we'll have to take him to the vet. I have no idea what it is all my other cats are fine and he just started acting strangely today. Hmmm i hope hes okay :(

Definitely get him checked out ASAP!
Cats tend to conceal illness, so when they act a little sick, they're often really sick.

In male cats, acting wierd and vocalizing can be a signs of a urethral blockage. With him in a standing position, put your hand under his belly and press up. If he seems painful or if you feel a hard sphere (anywhere from tennis to softball sized) deep in his abdomen and just in front of his hind legs, then he needs to be rushed in immediately. Blocked males cannot wait, they will die.

Please let us know what the vet finds out, and hopefully it's nothing too serious. :-)

I agree, if your cat is acting really strange compared to what they normally are like, and it is not a female in season, it should be checked out by a vet to rule out any illnesses.

yea he seems a little better, but hes technically my familys cat and i keep trying to convince my mom to take him to the vet. I think she said she'll take him tomorrow if hes not better. I checked him for that urethral blockage thing but i didnt feel anything.

Okay i have an update on my cat. My mom took him to the vet right away this morning, and he did have a crystal or something in hir urethra that was blocking stuff in there. So hes at the vet now and he should be fine but i think their keeping him overnight. I just feel relieved that we didnt wait any longer.

Hopefully a change in diet will help prevent this in the future. Science Diet Prescription diets are your friend :)

I'm glad he's going to be ok!

LOL. I so called it! :-P

Glad to hear he's doing well! Read up on this condition, because it can recurr if you aren't very careful with his diet (and sometimes even if you are).

Yea, hes still at the vets, cuz his bladder still hasnt gone down to normal size, and their giving him a medicine tomorrow to make it go down. I miss him so much, but im glad hes at the vets getting better and not and home dieing :( Also were definantly going to have to try to make this not happen again, the vet said the crystals were from too much magnesium in his diet
