Each egg would have a 50% chance of being a Cinny

Here is a good site for genetics: http://ballpython.ca/genetics.html

So a Cinny Pastel is not created by cinny X Pastel? I'm confused because the site you just showed me has a few Cinnys for sale and they all look like Cinny Pastels.

They are the same thing (cinny and cinny pastel). I think they're just called different things at times, or perhaps different lines.

Correct..A Cinnamon Pastel is a naturally occuring morph. The Pastel part is a little confusing, I agree.

same with the balck pastel. a cinny pastel is also a cinny. the black pastel and cinny are extreamly close genes wise. when bred to a Pastel they will produce pewters. i personally like black pastels that have pewter parents

Ok so Cinny Pastel = Cinny and an Pastel is not part of it. I'm also interested in pewters so I have to clear things up a bit. Thanks to both of you for being patient with me.

I saw a nice little male cinny pastel for 500 dollars. Is this price to low?

Too low for who? Depends what you are looking for. Quality is quality. If it is a nice Cinny for $500 (which I highly doubt) then great. Without seeing it I couldn't say. I would pay $1000 for a nice Cinny over $500 for a crappy one. Especially if you plan to breed him. Just my opinion...

Personally I'd first look at the snake in question, at it's parents if possible and at the breeder....then I'd worry about my wallet. For me, it's far better to either be patient and save up or start a payment plan with a breeder, than rush out and buy a substandard looking morph that's "on sale" or purchase a "great deal" from some shady person.

Never heard of him. That in and of itself doesn't mean a lot. If you like it and trust the guy, buy from him. I don't think you are appreciating what good customer service means. Will that guy spend an hour on the phone if the snake won't eat for you? If it dies 15 minutes after his guarantee period ends will he take care of it? He may be a super person and is just building his name. Do your research and know what you are getting and who you are dealing with.

That looks like a nice cinny, but I agree with Jamie on this one. I'd take quality over price anyday, also with I breeder that I trust, there's a better chance that snake comes to me healthy, last thing i'd want is mites etc.

Entirely understandable. The way I look at it is I can't buy from breeders I trust if Im unfamiliar with the breeders. I'm a computer programmer so everything I do is trial and error. In this situation the 2 breeders I do trust (Bailey & Baily Reptiles and 8 Ball Pythons) are out of stock on the particular snake I'm looking for(Female Albino Ball). So now I must expand my list of breeders and take a risk I suppose. I want an albino and I want one bad lol.

Or you could wait a few weeks and I am sure Albinos will be hatching all over the place.

You could try Jamie Quick. He has really nice snakes and he is local so it wouldnt need to be shipped. He is in Ormond and will meet you. He has the High contrast and normal contrast albinos.

You could also wait two months until the Daytona Reptile Expo. Then you'll have your pick of a ton of Albinos.

Kelly I have looked up Jamie Quick all over the internet and never found a website.

I did look a lot for an Albino, the one I like the most happens to be from this breeder no one has heard of.

Jamie my problem with Daytona is that I'm purchasing with a CC and from what I remember Strictly Reptiles (IMO suck!) were the only people to take credit cards last year that I could find.

there is one that you have not listed on there that i would say to look at. i have bought 8 snakes from him that are at my house already and have a Mojave 100%het albino female and a normal female on the way from him as we speak. ( he has a female albino available) his name is Ron Crawford of www.RCReptiles.com and if you look through his site and read you can find out a lot about him. you can also contact him via AIM or phone or send him an email and he is very fast with responces.
