Topping off a sucky day!!

Shift is almost over. I was in the middle of repairing a welding machine. Down comes a 60 lb spool of wire landing edge down on my forefinger. I'm typing with my pinky now. I'm in charge so I can't leave to see doctor. Not worth calling backup out of bed if its broken. Not much you can do for a finger. May go after I lock up. Didn't even know some of the words I said as it landed!:rolleyes: *@#:banned1:

I didn't know a spool of wire could hurt so bad. Or a finger swell so much!:eek:

Maybe tomorrow will be a better day!!:rolleyes:

wow...at least your middle finger isn't hurt. you should use that for some other purpose :D

Youch! I'm really sorry to hear about your little accident. I hope your finger feels better sooooon! :)

UGH!!! I think ice will be your best friend the next couple days.

that sucks! not much chance of injury at my job! thank god cuz i'm the biggest clutz ever!

Yeah it's already reported. At least I found out it's not broken. I would have sworn it was. I thought I had a high pain tolerance till that. At least my crew got to see me dance and learn some new words to use.:eek:

Glad to hear it wasn't broken. I hope it feels better soon! Fingers and toes are always taken for granted until they get seriously hurt...then we get relentlessly reminded how important each and every one really is! LOL

LOL yea breaking fingers hurts glad to hear your ok. I dropped an 80lb of quik kret on my pinky three years ago its healed all crooked and crap. LOL Gald to Hear its not broke.

Ack.. that had to hurt..! It must be finger-killing season. Last week a certain stupid horse spooked and gave me a nice ropeburn that nearly cost me my left index fingertip from a flat cotton leadline.. I too am familiar with the expletive-yellin' pain dance..!

Yeah, those flat cotton leads sure don't feel like cotton as they burn thru your grip!:omfg:

As some of y'all may already know, I am the king of broken fingers. I have broken 4 through various incidents, and one had to be replaced (yes, I have a plastic knuckle) when I was messing around smashing bricks with a hammer and missed! :taz::taz::taz::taz::taz: (I was a little kid OKAY?!?!?)

But yea, there are few things that hurt more that fingers/toes, but what comes to mind is a broken wrist/ankle. Those are mind blowingly painful.
