Proved out a poss het pied!!

Here is my lil guy still in the egg. From a het to a poss het pied. There is 5 eggs and one pied. Now the long wait for him to come out.

Congrats! That's pretty amazing. I thought about getting a het male and a pair of poss. het females, but with my luck all 3 would turn out to be normals.

why did you cut the egg??? jus ta question i heard about doing it but why would you want to???

trying to learn breeding i still have about 2 years and a couple thousands grams to go but i figure might as well ask and learn as much as possible

Thanks Everyone. Lady OHh I hope you do get pieds next season. Monty I cut the because I was excited to see what was in there. Wanted to see if I proved the poss het out.The snake is still in a clear sack. Once he it is ready to come out he will bust through the clear membrane and take his first breath.As long as you are careful you will not hurt the snake. Would not cut before day 45 or so. This is on day 52. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!

Freaky Frog. I try not to inbreed them. Sometimes you have to. With 13 female poss het pieds it would be great if it was a male. :carrot:

i have a het male and a poss het female... both to small to breed yet but im hoping by next season they are bigger...

Not yet. It is still in the egg chilling. All I can say is it has LOADS OF WHITE on it.

Pics will come soon. He is taking his time coming out. I think he jumps back into the egg when he hears me coming. LOL It has a little pattern on the head then a dimed sided circle on it. The rest seems to be WHITE!! :carrot: :rockon:

Does it take this long after cutting the egg/pipping for the snake to come out to the real world????

I'd be concerned that now that the egg contents are exposed, and have been for days there'd be a risk of bacteria/infection to the little guy.
