They are pastel x normal. Daddy is Ruger, my Graziani that I got last year from the Sutherlands. :)

Still only 6 eggs out! If it gets down to the wire, is it better to remove the laid ones or leave them all in until 9pm tonight when I get home? I wish I could just call in late but i did that yesterday for the horse trimming.
Thanks everyone for your good words!

The incubator has been ready and waiting for a few weeks now! :D I have to go to work in an hour; should I leaev all of the eggs in her tub until 9pm or take out and incubate the laid ones (she has one-two more on the way.)

[They are all out now! 7 eggies. I popped them into the incubator, and she is out cruising her tub looking thin :)
I am worried because one egg has newspaper markings on it; the paper was folded up over them, I think that's how it happened. Is this a concern? I know that some people mark their eggs with pencil, so maybe it is no concern?

    Re: She finally laid...
I have seen people take marker to write stuff on eggs, so that little bit of ink shouldn't be anything to worry about. (Anyone confirm that?)

Congrats! Don't worry about the newsprint ink. I would be surprised if it was anything but vegetable based ink (all newspapers that I know of switched to this type years ago). Now comes the really hard part...waiting another 55 days!

Congrats Jen. Hoping for a slew of female Pastels in those eggs. I don't use newspaper in my tubs, so I have never had that problem, but I don't suspect it will cause any detrimental effects.

    Hey! Thanks guys/girls..
Mak got home before me, and saw that she had one more! Apparently I thought that she was done, but she was not.. he put it into the incubator, and they are all snug in there now :D

    Great news.

So is it the 8 you originaly thought or the 7 as the final clutch size?:)

How was she when you removed the eggs? Testy or quite chilled?

    Re: She finally laid...
Thanks Del! This brough the total to 8 eggies. She was a little mad when I lifted her off of the eggs, but really I was surprised; she was less nasty than Foxy was. Mark feels bad for taking her eggs away from her :/ But I convinced him that she'll be much happier in a few days after a nice meal and months of relaxation!
