how old are YOU compared to your youngest BP

Okay, I know that there has been a poll to find out the age group of the members on here and the age of the oldest BP people own, but now compare your age to the age of your youngest BP, then consider their age expectancy. What age will you be approx when they go to snake heaven.

I myself do not own any BP's yet, but will in a few months (birthday gift from a friend). My age, I will be 40. :eek: (when did that happen?!) And to boot, I will be giving birth to my third and final child, so last child and bp's will grow up together.

It made me think though, that giving the life span of BP's, the BP's could live until Im well into my 80's. (this thought going on the oldest known bp in captivity was 48). To me, I dont feel my age, but I realized that Im getting into the game late, but I also thought it will be funny to other people and perhaps the younger generation that here is this 80 year old lady with BP's. Your turn people!!

I'll be in my 60's lol. :D

I hear ya! I'm 41 and am ALWAYS getting carded and then get the double takes when it registers how OLD I am. LOL

I do feel like I'm in my 20's, maybe that "feeling" of youth translates to our physical appearance as well. Or it could be all that "baby fat" in my case! LOL

Ill be in my 40's or 50's!

I'm 20 so I'll be somewhere in my 40-60s... haha Something like that. As for getting carded, well, I can't buy anything that would get me carded but just last week someone asked me if I was 15. :P And I actually argued with someone who refused to believe that I was going to be a junior in college...not high school. Haha ^_^

I am 40 and my guys are all 2006's. But I am very lucky in the fact that my Daughters 15yrs and 7 yrs, are both into the Snakes as I am. They help me care for them and everything, so luckily I have no worries as to how old I am compared to my BP's.

I have a friend that is 10-11 years younger than me.... I know that she'll be getting my Macaw for sure, and I guess most probably the snakies too if something unexpected... or expected should happen! :oops:

my girl is only about a year- and considering they live 20-30+ years...hmm...i'd be in my 30's or 40's! wow...

My youngest is an '06 as well (for now ^_^) so I'll be in the 40's-50's as well

my youngest is an 05, so if he made it to 40...I'd be almost 70

My youngest are always coming in (pippies and stuff), so I will be always old compared to the ones that will live beyond me.


Eh.. When I have kids, they can carry on the legacy. :D

hee hee... the "baby fat" is always a killer. I do have my moments when I feel my age, but most of the time I dont, guess thats a good thing. :D

I'll be in my 60's. However if thats the case, and my friends are correct about my lifestyle, my snake should outlive me by quite a few years.... :oops:

I am in my 50's so I'll be dead. But I promise to arrange for a good home for my kid's

I'm 14 now and my youngest is almost a year so if she lives 30 years i will be 44. But I'm sure I will have more youngen BP's by then.

My youngest is a 07' so ill be about 60, if you give him 30 years

My youngest is 1 year and I'm fifty so I'll be dead.:)

LOL :8: the kids at my daughters school already know us as the snake family. In fact, I was at Walmart the other day and I heard the kid behind me say to her mom "Hey Mom, thats Michaela's mom, she's the snake lady" At least the kids think its cool and want to learn more and be around the snakes.
So yup I will be the old snake lady right along with you. I am sure I will have new ones in the future, but at this point if my youngest lived 40 yrs, I would be 71 eeek.

I was never a cat lady (allergic), but in my circle of friends, I am the snake lady....

Assuming he will live to be 40, I'll be 84!!

What about all the people with racks full of snakes??? Will they be able to care for them in their 70's & 80's???

I am 27. My youngest BPs are '06's/ I also have some fresh eggs laid today that are younger :)

They can always send them my way! I dont ever plan on getting to that 30 or even 40 mark, gunna live as a kid forever and ever or at least thats what i keep telling myself

Good luck!!! I started slowing down when I got to the mid 30's. Our kids are 5, 7 & 10. The 7 year old is very athletic. In another year or two I may not be able to keep up with him. But I'll keep trying!!!!!!

You WILL get old!!! Just as your parents did. Look at them. That's what you've got to look forward to.

Well, since my newest one hatched last night, I'll be somewhere between 90-100 when she goes to that great African savannah in the sky. It will probably be a very sad time, but I'm sure I'll still have some of her great great great great great grandchildren around to keep me company.

heh... that would be great. imagine how lazy we all would be then. :D

My BP was 1 yo on Monday (6/11). So if he lives to be 40, I'll be 87. Most likely (taking into account my family history) I be dead before he is. My daughter will probably take care of him when I am unable.

well my BP is roughly about a yr. old and if he lives to be lets say 30, i'll be 46!!
