Along Came a Spider...
I'm sure many of you have seen the new NERD poster out, "along came a spider"
very well done by the way...
but i know this is asking kind of a lot... but if any of you have some spare time or just wanna help a brother out...
or think of it as a challenge...
NAME ALL THE MORPHS AND PARENT MORPHS IN THE PICTURE...
(i think the easiest way to do it would be Vertical columns are A-F and horizontal 1-6... for example... A1- SPIDER -- Spider x Normal)
http://www.newenglandreptile.com/ava...ders-large.jpg
ready... go.

i think a3 is the axanthic killer bee, f5 is the axanthic bumblebee.
either b3 or f2 is a stinger bee [enchi pastel x spider]
-
Re: Along Came a Spider...
Maybe, but I don't have enough knowledge to even guess! I'd rather have a key to learn to identify, so then when I see another example, I'll recognize what I'm seeing. :)

Re: Along Came a Spider...
B1 Lesser Bee
B2 Queen Bee
B4 Mojave Spider
C1 Woma Spider
E1 Genetic Striped Spider
E3 Coral Bee
Just a guess ;)
I really want to know what F2 is, it looks soooo cool!

Re: Along Came a Spider...
I really like f3 - the coral bee I believe.
Does anyone know what the one is that is in the last column, 3rd up from the bottom or the pale yellow one right above it?

I have no idea, it could be a Lavender Albino Spider. But we'll have to wait for Kara to be sure. Till that time I'm having a fight with my collegues because I'm drooling all over the place :sabduel:

If memory serves me correct from the quiz that Kara gave me on this poster - that one is a faded albino spider.
I'm ashamed to say I don't remember all of them - sorry Kara! But I can say I've been told all of them! :P

Isn't B1 the Bumblebee?
I thought columns were letters and rows were numbers?

Close - very close. Although, isn't that A5? You guys are confusing me with these letters and numbers. Didn't the OP say columns are letters and rows are numbers?
-
Re: Along Came a Spider...
B4 is called the Chocolate Chip - but I don't remember the "recipe".

Re: Along Came a Spider...

There were a couple I could pick out for sure and I may have gotten a couple mixed up. I'm missing the Cinnabee and a few others.

Re: Along Came a Spider...
I am soooo confused now!
isn't it supposed to be...
the easiest way to do it would be Vertical columns are A-F and horizontal 1-6
that would mean B1 is a lesser bee right?
or wrong....

Re: Along Came a Spider...
Since it tends to confuse some here is how I labeled mine

Re: Along Came a Spider...
c2 looks like a caramel spider to me, i want this poster how do i get it? it would be so cool to have a geneology poster like this with recipes just to make life easier, i have my eye on a 100%het pied pair, 100%het albino pair, and a ghost het pair, i think that's enough to start for now :) i talked to the wife i think i might pursue a hobby/business at this, it's gonna be bump and grind but im gonna do my best, any advice on starting out on breeding would be more than appreciated, ive also got my eye on some ars racks thanks to all my beautiful people here at bp.net, ive learned so much in 2 weeks it's incredible, but i'll never stop learning!! i've always wanted a business and i have the capital to start small so im gonna give it a shot, can someone outline a start up plan for me? i know it's asking alot, i just wanna ballpark at what im looking at, i figure i'll have around $7500 to start, but i want to reinvest anything and grow slowly with my experience, this is so exciting!! iwant to get into the queenbee's,killerbee's etc eventually, i think they are beautiful. what one is E5 in the poster? i like that one too

Get yourself a male Spider, one or more female Pastels and one or two female Lessers. They'll get the job done! But first get as many info as you can before even buying a normal ball, then get one pair of balls. You can always buy more later. Get some experience first :)

When I start to get into breeding, outside of my normal male and female that is, I plan to start with that setup, just toned down, gonna start with a Spider and a Pastel, does the sex of the morph really matter?

Not really, with some morphs the females are more expensive than the males or the other way around. It depends on what you want to "make". I bought a male Spider and female Mojave, because i already have a 1.1 Pastel. Next year I want to make a Super Pastel, and the year after a Pastel Mojo and a Bumblebee :D
