Finally!!

What a sight!!! 2 long yrs of hard work and I have my first clutch ever!


Breeding was a het pied x normal...The normal female was a CH female I got in 05 and raised up....her first yr breeding and she threw me 8 eggs! What a great first ever clutch for the both of us.....the eggs weighed a total of 608 grams.......She weighed 1250 grams the beginning of the season and weighed 1900-2000 grams a few weeks before ovulation....

When I opened her tub today I was in awe...could not believe it.....Can't wait till next season when I am producing morphs!

Now the wait! I have another female due to lay in the next day or 2....can't wait to see how many eggs she throws.....

Joe, I should be producing some spiders, cinnies, pastels, lessers, ghosts, albinos, granites....then some....pewters, lesser spiders, lesser granites....

And if I pick up a yb (which I plan to) I will be adding him into the mix of crosses and see if he throws anything wild with some of my unproven girls....

And then, hopefully prove out some different things....

I should get 22 or 23 this year. Waiting on 2 more females to see what they do. Next year, I haven't even started thinking about next year. I just want to get through this hatching season.
