    lookin for dishes
went to my local dollar tree and they had ceramic dishes there that i picked up for my snakes. I only picked a few up, and of course when i need more, they done have any... :( . So, any ideas on where i can pick up some more dishes? they dont necessarily have to be ceramic either. Even though i would prefer it that way.

Perhaps if you posted a picture of the sort of ceramic dish you have, if any of us have seen similar we could let you know. I love using white ceramic ramekins found at any major department store in the kitchen aisles or sometimes in dollar stores (those aren't as well made or as well glazed though). They come in a variety of sizes and are very reasonably priced.

I swear by disposable water bowls. You can get a case (500) of 16oz deli cups for under $30 and 4" PVC couplers from Home Depot or Lowes to put them in for under $3/each. Easy to clean and very sanitary. For hatchlings up to around 300 grams the 8oz deli cups work by themselves.

I agree with Jamie...this is the simplest and cleanest way I have found too...nothing really to do...just toss the bowls and put in a new fresh one.

Thanks for the link! you can use the same kind of lids for the 16oz and 8oz, right? I think the 8oz are just shorter than the 16oz.

If you use the clear ones don't they feel insecure or do you paint them or something so their not see through?

Insecurity has nothing to do with their water bowls. I wouldn't use clear hides though.

Excellent! Those will work just fine. So do you put new ones in every day?

If you have a GFS (Gordon Food Service) or similar type restaurant supply store that's open to the public, you can find them there too.
