Houston help with ball python scare.

DISCLAMER! Dead ball pythons in video. Right on the page.

I was eating at my local family owned resteraunt (SP?) and this came on. as you read the article it tells you about how some people in a neiborhood around houston got a package shipped too them, full of Bps. It was supposed to go to a petstore. Some escaped around the house and in the yards of local neibors. Some people are scared of them, even though they are babies and they know they are harmless. They need people to come and help, because no organization will!! I would like to go, but its a long drive. If your intrested in helping catch them, just E-mail the Tv station!! :D Lets just hope this doesnt put any more friction against snake owners.

I noticed how all theses experts were giving their opinion on the snakes. That one lady sounded sure that pets and baby's were in danger!! The owner has caused a huge set back there in Texas with all the stuff going on.

Right!?!?! Who knew my pets and god-kids were in such danger? Good thing I'm a big strong girl, in case one of those makes it across town..........

In all seriousness.... I really hope this dies down quietly.... And I'm just glad it wasn't a clutch of Burms, Ticks, or Annies.... that would have really gotten the neighbors to react.

It's funny how all the false information about whatever ignorant fears everyone has about them comes before the true information... I don't see why the article can't be something like this: Here's what happened, here's why you shouldn't fear for your pets or children.

Yeah but you guys gotta look at it in a elderly person POV that has no clue about snakes.

There will immediately draws conclusions and get scared or startled.

Seriously I bet most of our grandparents or elderly parents who say the same thing and act the same way.

    Just my view.

Neighbors worry about what might happen if the snakes survive and if they grow to their maximum adult size of six feet long.

"They can still wrap their mouth around a dog, kid, baby, anything and eat it," said Lynch.

Holy crap you guys run!!!! This is gonna be a 6 foot snake for god sake! OMG that's big enough to eat my husky! :omfg:

Just great. We're screwed with the pending legislation now.

There are native snakes in Texas that are far more dangerous. I'm sure the news crew didn't want to calm everybody down TOO much. Not good for ratings you know.

cue, I was not sure if anyone else had figured out who it was.

His rep, lets see. Busted at LAX for having chondros in his pants, brought monkey pox into the country and while not his fault he is the reason why fish and wildlife in Miami are a pain sometimes with shipments because one of his came in from columbia with false bottoms on his boxes and was full of coke...

Oh man that lady is so stupid and irresponsible and the news crew is irresponsible for not thoroughly disputing her. Oh, they "GENERALLY only eat small rodents". you know, except when they are in the mood for a dog or small child!
