Re: Dumb Feeding Question
Im no expert, but i've heard that can be a factor.
Re: Dumb Feeding Question
all of mine perfer black headed (hooded?) over plain white. I also think store has something to do with it. Mine always take the ones from one store and don't really like petco rats.

Re: Dumb Feeding Question
Wow. Well, I heard bp's were picky eaters but didn't think color would be a factor. Thanks. I will check back tomorrow to see if anybody else has experience in this.

Re: Dumb Feeding Question
Thanks guys! I love this forum. :D
Re: Dumb Feeding Question
I have a couple snakes that will rarely eat with light, so i have to feed them late night or early morining, with the lights off. They are far more likely to take a black or hooded rat than white. In the low levels of light the black provides higher contrast to the light yellow bedding.
Re: Dumb Feeding Question
Well, 2 tries in the last couple weeks for him to take the black one and he refused. Got some new white ones today and it is in his mouth as we speak. And petsmart said they would refund my money! :D
Re: Dumb Feeding Question
Well that's good news. A feeding snake is a happy snake! Just gotta make sure you have a supply of white mice now
Re: Dumb Feeding Question
I've heard of W.c. adult balls being scared of Albino rats(who isn't with those glowing eyes) but taking brown or black rats right away
