Well she is home
On Saturday, we finally got to pick up our new Turkish Van!
Man, this little girl is a riot, and truly lives up to her breed. She *loves* water! She likes to dip her paws in her water dish. If I sprinkle water on her, rather than running away she tries to catch the droplets. And when I dropped my wet towel on the floor this morning, she started rolling all over it, lol.
Here she is dipping a paw:

And just being cute:

Oh, and her name is Lizzie Borden. I call her Lizzie B.

I'll definitely keep you updated on this little treasure :D
So far I can't say enough good things about her. She is so incredibly smart, and the whole water bit is so unique.

Haha yeah, if those paws are any indication of how big she will get, it should be interesting!

Oh she's cute Sarah! We had a kitten years ago that, though she's wasn't a Turkish Van, she was bizarrely interested in water (for a cat). Do watch yours around the toilet. Ours adored the water in there, loved to watch it flush away and unfortunately figured out that dropping things in the john resulted in an ever so lovely stoppage and water ALL over to play in! ACK!

LOL! No worries there...Having OCD, our toilets are closed before any flushing occurs, to keep toilet spray off of everything. My kids are also well trained in that practice :D
I will have to watch that issue when company is over, though!

so cuddly cute! just wanna eat her up! lol! i didn't know there were cats that like water! the only way mine ever touches it (unless she's drinking) is when she's playing in the tub (which she does all the time... no idea why...) and there happens to be a drip. then she'll paw at it. but if there's actually water in it..... i think you can imagine! lol

Haha, yeah, I have one cat that loves drinking from the faucet, and she'll bat at the drips, but this one is just absolutely drawn to water. It's so funny to watch!

Re: Well she is home
Pros and Cons of having a breed of cat that likes water:
Pro: It's so cute how she will do anything to get at water! Rolling on wet towels, chasing water droplets, running into the shower looking so excited...
Cons: It's so annoying how she will do anything to get at water! Jumping on a crowded countertop because the faucet is on, tipping over glasses of water or vases of flowers, dipping paws in water bowl and then getting in the litter box of scoopable litter...
