Robin & Judy's trip to NERD - Running Thread

Day 1

We're here, we made it in one piece, sort of. Judy's trying to be sick, but Kara says it's not allowed.

So far, it's hot as HELL here! We didn't mean to bring the South up with us! :O

Saw tons of snakes, played with puppies, played with kookaburras - or rather, Kara encouraged them to talk to us, while we made fun of her!

Just wanted to share some pictures from Day 1. Check back, we'll try to update each evening!

Kara and Kevin are wonderful hosts!

Dinner, which consisted of jasmine rice with tangerine zest, garlic-sauteed fiddlehead ferns, and fresh sea scallops with toasted hazelnuts in a browned-butter vinaigrette. What did YOU have for dinner tonight? ;)

LOL...I've already got her tucked in & basking, with threats of Baytril if she doesn't come around quickly. Think I should spray her tonight while she's sleeping or wait till she wakes up in the AM?

Dinner looked great. Never had fiddlehead ferns - what did they taste like? Scollops are to die for.

Ohh fiddlehead ferns are YUMMO! Good eats, Kara! Robin you look like you are having the time of your life, so wish I was there with you girls! Tell Jude I hope she's feeling much better this morning, what a rotten time to get sick. :(

Looks like loads of fun girls. Wish I could come some time and hang out. But alas thats one trip I fear I may never make..

Dinner looks out standing all it was missing was a good bottle of Italian wine and a fine cigar after on the porch..

Robin tell Judy I said "COWBOY UP" shes a guest at NERD for Christ's sake. No hope she feels better a trip like that you want to enjoy.

I'll second that Aleesha. Now, I still haven't figured out what's taking you so lo9ng this morning girls. I would have been up at 5:30 cruising the racks and would have taken at least 400 pics by now. Glad to see ya'll are having a good time. I hope Judy wakes up feeling fine. And it appears that Kevin and Kara are A+ hosts. Wish I could be there.

p.s. Take some good pics of that Minimom for me. It seems to be elusive and also one of my favorites.

K&K have been WONDERFUL hosts, just getting to hang out with them in their home has been a BLAST, and for me personally, one of the best parts of the trip. :love:
