Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
ha, fiesty huh? i still want one, though maybe i would settle for a leucistic bp instead. :D :P
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
Please excuse my ignorance, but whats a LTR?
I can't see the pic clearly.
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
Leustistic texas rat snake. An all white rat snake with deep blue colored eyes and an evil temperment, although some are quite docile.
hmmmm...leusistic BP, now your talkin. Closest I have is a shirt with one on it :( Although it's a nice shirt and free too. Can't beat free.
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
Nevermind I figured it out.
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
i plan on getting one in the near future... i look forward to the challange.
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
Even though I handle mine, she seems to live just for the sake of biting!!:taz:
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
i heard with balls that if they don't let go, you can run warmish water over their heads and they'll release... does that really work? and would it work with other snakes as well?
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
i read some where just mist a little water on there head, can't hurt them...

I agree! I know the one I had was named Lucifer because he/she was a total nut with a huge attitude problem! I handled him/her daily and it seemed the more I handled him/her the meaner he/she got. I had enough with that and ended up selling that snake. They are super pretty, but do not have a good temperament at all.
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
I have a regular ol' Texas rat and have to say, he's the sweetest thing! We take him to outreach shows we do and I have no reservations about letting kids hold him. I can grab him and do anything without worrying about getting bitten.
maybe the lack of color removes brain cells too? :rolleye2:
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
Yikes, that is insane!
I had a BP coil and attach to my hand; I dunked her into a fish tank and it did nothing. Mark had to gently pty her off of my thumb.. ouch was that painful! I was very glad that he was home.. if I were alone, it would have been much harder to remove her.
I have a fiesty corn snake, but here is what I do to remove him from the tank: I use a knobby grapevine branch to gently hook him out, and then I gently and non-agressively remove him onto my arm/hand.. he gets more curious and has never bitten at me after removed.
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
I am one of the lucky ones. My LTRS is fairly docile. She gets cranky when shedding though. Gloves are bad to use to that exact reason. If you have a snake that bites and starts to swallow, you have a problem. The best thing to do with an evil snake is use a hook or just take the shots.
Re: LTR's = Spawn of Satan
Heh, now I know what I was in my former life! :D
Fiesty, fiesty but they sure are good looking!
