    Butters and Pastels hatchlings!
I just had a clutch of 7 eggs from a Butter male to a Pastel female hatch. I got 3.2 Pastels and .2 Butters. Last year the same female gave me a male Pastel Butter from 4 eggs so sometimes you just don't hit the odds. I love the little babies they are so awesome! Now the fun part of getting them eating.

    Thanks for looking.

Yes Alice I have a table on the main floor in Daytona this year. I don't plan on selling many females this year they are to valuable for crosses. I had another clutch hatch at the same time and out of 6 eggs I got two Butter males. Last year out of 13eggs I got a pair of Butters so I know that you can never count your snakes until they have come out of the eggs. I have been thinking about picking up a superbutter to help take some of this out of the equation.

    Thanks

Congrats Brock, they look great. Hey, you didn't hit the Butter Pastel, but you also didn't hit the Normal either.

Good way to look at it. Who can complain about getting 0.2 butters though, right?

Thanks everyone I agree Tim no normals in the clutch is a blessing all by itself. I will get some pictures up of the father and the pastel butter that I produced last year.

Great looking babies, Brock. Even though my eggs were all normals, it was a thrill to watch them develop and hatch out. I know that someday I'll be waiting on morphs to hatch and I am SO looking forward to that!

I notice that you have all your babies together in a tub and that it is rather wet in there. Is this the way you keep them until they shed? Since it's my first time with babies, I am trying to get all the info I can on the best way to keep them after hatching.

    Good luck with these guys!

Yes I put them in one of my baby boxes around 4 to a tub and then I wet a papertowl and put it with them and put a water bowl and they all shed out great and then they get their own box. It works great for me.
