    butan yellowhead reticulated
This is deeds, our new male butan yellowhead... definitely a bit snappy, but really isn't too bad once you have him. He actually took 4 f/t weanling rats today (only been fed live before) and seems to be quite happy about that... :D

We picked him up this weekend at the austin reptile expo...

Blake, I loooove that yellow. Any chance or knowledge of that morph(?) in the SD size???? I'm not experienced enough for a giant yet. That's why I got Kaa, he was a SD. But I like your Butan's yellow colors and pattern MUCH more than Kaa's was.

    Re: butan yellowhead reticulated
Thank you guys, when we picked him up at this show, it was the first time I'd seen them in person, and they are really a sight to see with those eyes. They don't all have silver eyes and some have brighter or duller yellows, but that's obviously why we picked this one... ;)

Well the butan's are newer locale that they have been importing, and this one was imported by bob clark last year...

I would not recommend them though for someone's first retic. He's really rather aggressive, and he's going to be a challenge to try to tame down, even just a little bit to where he'll be easier to deal with. But he is eating well, and that means he'll probably grow well... :gj:

And not only are these guys a little more aggressive, but they come from an island about 20 miles from mainland sulawesi, which are some of the largest reticulateds out there... So we're expecting this guy to get huge, even compared to our other retics... :D

Unbelieveable. I've been looking for a nice yellowhead and this might be it. I would have liked to see orange eyes come with it, but silver will do I guess.

    Awesome Tic, Blake.

well this was the only one that he had that had silver eyes quite like this... there were a few butan's with orange ones... let us know if you decide to get one! :D

    Re: butan yellowhead reticulated
It is a close tie between yellow heads and tiger retics for my favorite. But then again, that black one that Kara showed a while back...MMMMMMMMM! Too bad they get so big, I would really like a yellowhead retic.

Damn that is a great looking retic! Thanks for helping me decide on what kind of retic to get next :)

Who did you buy her from?

Gotta love how they look so small in those delicups then you take them out an "DAMN THIS THING IS BIG!" :D
