Wow! He made my day!
He is my new mate, Crawl cay island boa. he is three years old and only 2.3ft long!!!!! Only several people keep this dwarf boa in my country and I prechased this rare boa from the breeder who did the first breeding of Crawl Cay boa in my country. I really like the size and the dull colour pattern.
The picture below has been took before he shed.

He`s completely settled down at his new house! Today, he`s shed when I come back to my home and Wow! His fresh pinky coloured skin(scales)shines with new body!
I fed a hopper mouse to him immediately. He reacted my first feeding at once and struck it!

I love the cross on his head!! WoW!

I was observing him all the time he was swallowing the prey. He seemed he was soooooooooooooooo excited!

The Crawl Cay island boas are one of smallest dwarf boa constrictor i.
The female max will be 5.9ft(180cm), the male will stop the growth at 3.9ft(120cm)! and mine is three years old and 2.3ft long! :O
Look at the Cross on his head! Everyone pray to him! lol

Re: Wow! He made my day!
That is totally sweet. If I get another snake it is going to be a Crawl Cay Boa!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing. I would have never known about such a wonderful snake. I wanted a boa, but I live in an appartment and really could not support a large snake.
That is why I have a male BP. :sunny:

Re: Wow! He made my day!

hey, there are several dowarf boa constrictors in this planet, which is called Tarahimaran desert boa, Sonolan desert boa etc..
Crawl cay is one of them.
They also stop growing around 4-6ft.
You can keep them in 32X17.7X17.7inch enclosure and can hold it on your one hand. Very nice animals! :)

yeah, he is stunning! I like the light pink colour on the dull body pattern very much.
Don`t be surprised! he is three years old and still only 2.3ft long!!!
Crawl Cay boa range in only Crawl cay island. A very tiny island in Beliez next to Mexico. Only 12 boa have been taken from there and bred. My boa is one of the descendant. Now the boas in the island are protected.
He got "Cross" on its head! Just stunning!

Re: Wow! He made my day!
Awesome. Not many people breed them here either actually. Only a handful that I can think of. Awesome boa for sure. I was thinking about picking up a few of the cay boas before they are all mutted out. Just curious, how is the boa market for morphs over there. I'm guessing they have everything we have?

Just a quick correction. Its Sonoran Desert Boa and its Tarahumara boa as well. There are so many "dwarf" boas out there on top of the main ones you mentioned.
Cancun Boas
Hog Island
Corn Island or Isla De Maize(sp?)
Caulker Cay
Crawl Cays
Various Nicaragua and Honduran Boas
Pearl Island boas are also smaller than quite a few other B.c.i.

I envy you. ;)
Honestly, I would keep large boa/python, as well. I love retic, Bcc, boelen python etc. Especialy retic. They are my idol.
But here in Tokyo, retic needs some license and money to keep them.
And I don`t have much space to keep them in my house.
Where can I see your Bcc collection on this net??? ;)
