    Females... Whats the Deal?
OK mabey some one can explaine the extra value of females! All of the BP i have seen for sale the females are at least 500% more expensive than the males.

So... What makes the females more valubale? \

    Thanks,
    Sean

You only need a certain amount of males, but you can never have enough females for your breeding projects. Males can breed multiple females.

    yep....Andrew is right.

If I had 5 big normal girls and a male Spider, for instance, he could breed all 5 and if each produced a clutch of 4 eggs, chances are 50/50 normal/spider, you would get a total of 20 eggs, 10 of those being spiders that you could sell.

    that's just...potentially....

From what I've seen you'll usually get like 3 males and 1 female in a clutch, but I'm not a breeder. Also, I'd imagine it has something to do with the fact that a female can give you more snakes. A male cant.

my het pied x normal breeding last season resulted in 1 male and 7 female babies. sometimes you hit the odds and sometimes you don't, but it is totally random. :)

    It's sorta like porn.

The females get paid 3 times what the males do.

This is due to the fact every guy is just happy to have that job!

But back to snakes, its all about the ability of females to be more valuable when it comes to return on investment.

    A female makes the eggs.
    The eggs make the babies....
More and more babies after years pass. Consider 20 years of egg laying...

A male makes the sperm... That's it. :) Nothing else...
No eggs, but can breed many females.
So... you only need a couple for a whole bunch of ladies!!!

    In short, Females ROCK. :D

Well if my guess is worth anything.
Older or breedable females are more valuable. If you have a breedable female (morph co-dom) bred to a normal male. All you have to do is take a male from the clutch(co-dom morph) and breed back to the mother the following season (since males are breedable at a younger age) to get the super form of the morph. if its a recessive morph its trickier unless the mother is a visual.
