    Scary Sea monster.
Check this out. I swear I will never put so much as the tip of my toe in the ocean again. I was already afraid of it after a boating accident (that story we will save for later) but now. Oh no, I don't think so scooter.

    Here are the pics

Heres and article, whale skin, giant octopus, yeah right.....

That first pic looks like the side of a rotted blue whale.

Looks like a rotting whale to me...

There have been reports like this throughout history, they all end up being dead rotting whales. Decomposition of the body can alter it's appearance drastically.

It's based on a true story of a lady that got left 15 miles out in the pacific ocean of the coast of Hawaii. She had a video camera with her that dangled in the water the whole time. You can see the sharks gathering below her and biteing her fins and fish and stuff. She lived and swam back to shore. But you wouldn't get me in a deep bath tub after something like that.

I have seen Open Water. SCARY. Although, I am not really all that afraid of Sharks for some reason. Its whatever else is out there that I don't know about. After almost dieing in the middle of the Haro straight, I am terrified of the ocean. We know more about space than our own ocean and that bothers me.

I was looking at the pics again and it does resemble a Blue whale. But they have had alot of stuff wash up on shore Down near Patagonia and that area. Like million year old crocs and stuff like that. There is just something about the ocean that really gives me the creeps.

I like Carlos Mencia's theory on Sharks. " If you are in the ocean, which would be their kitchen. Expect to be eaten."

I thought Open Water was the one about the couple that was left behind while on a Scuba Diving adventure. They didn't show up in time and the boat left. Then there was a miscount on the boat of divers. So They didn't realized anyone was gone.

At least that was the movie I saw. Then there is this HUGE deal about it being scam and they did this to collect life insurance. They thought it was a scam cause they never found any bodies or scuba gear.

The thing about nature is that the food chain is a circle so that a 23' Great White or even a 43' giant squid. You know why they were created..to be eaten by..something.

Not to be argumentative, but this is definitely not true! We know far less about our own solar system than we do our oceans, and that's just one of billions. Sorry, I'm really into astronomy, so I couldn't let that one go by, haha.

Very true, at least you have a chance at being swallowed whole and not chewed up. I'd rather get swallowed whole. Anyone care to do a pole? lol

But then you have to consider--would being swallowed whole--with water, then being burned up in something's stomach really all THAT much more pleasant? If it were something large doing the chewing--I'd rather be chewed. Maybe my spine, heart or brain would get punctured and I'd just kick the bucket quickly.

I wouldn't want to be left alone in either.

the astronaut that positioned the Hubble telescope like 10 years ago was the trumpet player at my cousins wedding in Huston, TX. He said that EVA walks were never fun your out there in nothing looking at the earth. He said think of it like standing on the side of a rotating 45 mile high building and having no choice but to look down

No thats cool, I watched a Show about something to do with Oceans and they said that on the Documentary.

I am into Space science actually. Have you read the article on that planet they found that they say is "The Holy Grail" of planets? Where its possible there is water on it.

Man, that's one ugly sucker right there! :D I've always been fascinated by how unknown the oceans are to us. For instance the Mariana trench-- the deepest known crevice in the Earth's crust. The creatures found down there are amazing. I think it just shows how tiny and insignificant humans are. :D

She and her husband were customers of my girlfriend's mom (an investment banker)

Heh, that was a pretty silly claim for that documentary to make, right?

Yeah, I heard about that possible water discovery. The planet is comprised of gasses, so it's not actually inhabitable, but finding water on any other planet would be pretty exciting news.

Yeah I would say so, maybe they meant we know more about what we have discovered so far? I don't know, But it never really seemed to make all that much sense considering how HUGE outerspace is. I know it was on the discovery channel though, but then again I have seen them make some of the most ridiculous comments about snakes too.

Oh yeah, I've seen quite a few docs on Discovery that make a lot of assumptions and present them as facts.

Haha, that does sound like it would mess with one's mind!
But I can imagine one day going into space, myself. Now, just have to become a billionaire somehow...

Wow, that think looks....interesting. While it does have a whalish look about it, it has a picture of its 'mouth'. It also says it has long hair. Whales do have hair, but the hairs are normally very small.
