Frankykeno involved in scandal?
Jo,
I hope you didn't eat at Golden Corral yesterday.
That title is a joke by the way. Just thought of Jo when I saw this article, and wanted to give her a hard time.

Re: Frankykeno involved in scandal?
Must be something about mothers day. We were almost assaulted in a Steak and Shake restaraunt yesterday. The guy walked up to our table and was about to throw a drink on me. When I looked up he seemed to have a change of heart. Maybe my size had something to do with him changing his mind.

Re: Frankykeno involved in scandal?
I didn't say anything. Just glared at him.Apparently he didn't like my looks. Had given my girlfriend and I dirty looks the whole time we were in there. I didn't say anything to him because I save words and actions for only when needed. If the drink would have flew, I believe he would gotten his first flying lesson.:giggle:

I love it!!! I have only gotten in one fight in public. I was at a pool hall about 2 years ago and this dude was all hands on on my girl (now wife) I asked him real nicely to buzz off. He set his drink down as was walking up to me I asked him half way across the room if he really wanted to let his friends see him get his but kicked by a guy my size.. I'm 5-6 and 160 lbs :D oh yea and I work out and studied Knejitsu and Kendo for 6 years ( thats grappling and Japanese sword and knife fighting ). He was like "hell yea I'd love to see it" he took a swing and I side stepped with a powerful lat strike, and he caught the butt end of a pool cue across the cheek, broke my 21oz Predator pool cue , And down he goes out cold. I heard later that I broke his jaw knocked, out three teeth and crushed his orbital scocket. I was banned for life from that hall. :(( Had it been one of my good swords like my folded golden oriel it would have been very messy. :D

I first thought I had killed him I didn't swing that cue soft. I did it like I would a katana even flicked my wrist at the end and followed through. The bar tender said it looked like I had smacked my cue against a brick wall. It just pretty much exploded. I mean he swung and just kept falling most folks stagger and then fall. But he just kinda fell like a cut down tree. I check to make sure he was alive. Threw a 100.00 on the bar and we promptly left.

Well in court with my training.. and the way I handled it maybe, maybe not. I mean even with an attacker with a knife and I'm unarmed I can in three moves disarm and effectively remove a combatant for further assault. For lack of a better example: break it off and beat you with the bloody stump. I could have handled it differently and wish I had. I really hurt that dude and put him in a lot of pain when I didn't need to. But I was a little buzzed and the booze over rode my training. We are thought to think, analyze your enemy, and use as little force as needed to do what we think will end the fight the quickest.

I like to hear that. I would hate to think you went that overboard for the fun of it. I used to be in a lot of fights when I was younger. All it got me was to many headaches! I haven't been in a physical fight in nine yrs. and that was self defense. But because the other person was hospitalized I was arrested. Charges were made by the state, but later dropped.

Re: Frankykeno involved in scandal?
I think I can say with out a doubt I'd get in a fight if some stranger in public told my child to shut up!
I mean we all see those parents that ignore their screaming child...which ticks me off  And we see the one's attempting to do everything under the sun to hush them...but I think either way I'd lose it!
-
Re: Frankykeno involved in scandal?
I think screaming "shut up" to someone else's kid is over the edge, but I think it's also the responsibility of the parents to ensure that others around them are able to enjoy their stay in peace. Take the screaming baby at a rated "R" movie for instance....if the baby is screaming and crying, disrupting the peace of others, it's the responsibility of the parents to remove themselves and the child from the scene. :2cent: to be a bit more blunt...if your baby is screaming, leave.

any one that studies any Asian martial art will tell you. The fight that takes place isn't the discipline it is the ability to not fight.

Re: Frankykeno involved in scandal?
It was nuts yesterday. I told my wife that everyone seemed on edge. Then we had a huge fire a mile from my house and my yard was full of ash from the lumberyard. It was a crazy day indeed.

Re: Frankykeno involved in scandal?
Tim you brat! LOL I hadn't even heard of this but funny enough we've eaten at that place before. It's a really nice buffet place...geesh...people have no sense anymore do they! I mean could this rude woman have not asked one of the staff to request the customer with the screaming baby try to settle her child? The mother of the child maybe could have taken the child to the bathroom to walk around a bit and break the tantrum cycle (heck we've all had to do that a time or two). I was at a McDonald's the other day and this mom sat there gabbing away with her friend while her poor toddler just screamed and sobbed in the highchair. I wanted to smack her myself. Not for the baby screaming and bothering me but for being such a turd she couldn't stop her conversation to try and comfort or distract her obviously upset child.
Anyways.....

i agree jo... i prefer a more 'hands on' parenting... as in... you baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult child is upset... put your hands around them  and let them know it's okay.
it makes me sad when i see kids crying like that...

Ehh... I'm a product of "spare the rod, spoil the child" method. Of course not in public, we knew not to act up in public, that was a big no-no. And no-no's equal mucho no funno. Actually, I had very caring and comforting parents, if you actually had a reason to be upset they'd want to hear about it and help... But any "i want" tantrums would be met with an iron fist. And I think I turned out alright... :stupidme:

Re: Frankykeno involved in scandal?
the brashness and stupidity of people still amaze me. sometimes you wonder who acts more childish, the children or the suppposed grownups. I have a 19month old who normally behaves very well in public, but has his moments. Hubby and I take turns to try and comfort or distract him, going outside if necessary for a few moments. But I do agree, when i see some people just ignore their screaming child I get annoyed and want to smack the parent for being stupid. Glad to read that the child wasn't hurt in that melee.

Re: Frankykeno involved in scandal?
Can you imagine how many kids were in that restaurant though (it's huge) and saw those adults act in that manner....just disgusting really.
You can bust my chops anytime Tim LOL. I can't believe I missed this. I usually read the Toledo Blade online but missed it with so much else going on in my life right now.

I believe the report said the police escorted about 100 patrons out. I can only guess, but I imagine anywhere from 30-70% of them were kids...
