Im not to worried about it any more since he doesnt bite himeself hard at all and does not hold on for more than a second. I went ahead and snapped some pictures of him doing it today.

Our Pi**y did that, but it was b/c he was trying for me, whether I was close or not.

my kiara accidentally bit herself while eating once! she must not've realized there was no more mouse to swallow and got her teeth stuck in her back! she's get the battle scar now! and damn proud of it! lol

And I always thought burms were the "mentally challenged" ones of the snake world.:D

I was going to use him as a breeder but I dont think he will know what to do. I think he'll eat her befor thinking about anything else. My friend borrowed some ones male and his female ate the male!

I'm curious as to what would cause him to continuously bite himself? feeding response overboard on a regular basis? I dunno, would be interesting to find out.

FWC's tend to think EVERYTHING is food.


Apparently this guy takes that to the extreme and also thinks HE is food.:D

I had a kingsnake once that had to have an operation to remove a tumor. After the operation when she came out of the anesthesia she kept biting herself on the incision. The vet surmised that it was because she was in pain so she was attacking the thing that was causing her pain. Snakes are really not geniuses of the animal world are they?
