Re: Bloody Mess for Ben R.
if you dont mind me being nosy. why are they tposs and not just a red albino. i hope what i am asking makes sence.
i saw some albino bloods that were just all white. but then i saw some red bloods that have a lot more red the most other bloods.. so isnt a red albino like a sunglow boa in a sence. just cuerious.
thanks
matt
Re: Bloody Mess for Ben R.
The all white bloods you've seen are probably Ivories - the homozygous form of the Matrix blood. They are not albinos, but a different trait entirely.
There are also T- albinos that are mostly white with yellow and/or red markings (like a yellow & white T- ball python, or orange/white T- boa). T+ bloods are predominantly red, although there are some that mature to yellow or orange animals, and all three forms are beautiful. Think of the "red albino" blood just as you would a "caramel albino" ball python.
A Sunglow boa is an T- hypomelanistic boa, a designer combo of 2 traits. A T+ Colombian boa doesn't look like a T- albino, nor does it look like a Sunglow...all three are distinctly different morphs (the Sunglow being a designer).
There are very good pics/examples of some of the various blood morphs in VPI's blood python galleries.

great help. thanks so much
Re: Bloody Mess for Ben R.
Thanks Kara. I saw some ivory a while back, they are amazing. The T+ bloods are sure starting to show up more commonly. Awesome animals. I wasn't aware there was a T- albino blood out though
Re: Bloody Mess for Ben R.
Take it easy with the pics. If I keep seeing snakes I like I will get tossed right out the door!!:P I always want "just 1 more!"
