    spiderman 3 review! *non spoiler*
    good movie!!!!

i went to the midnight showing earlier this morning so im still half asleep at school since i only got 5 hrs of sleep.

overall i'll give it a B for a grade.there were certain scenes in the movie where me and my friends were wtf? but we still liked it.venom was definitely the best villain in the movie, but i think they should've had him a lot longer in the movie than they did.

I think we are going to see it on Monday.

I heard that overseas it has made more money than the first two Spiderman movies put together!

It should have been three movies, or at least two. Too much story crammed into it, with not enough depth. Still, there were some really cute scenes and I enjoyed it about as much as I expected. B-.

Move was lame, villains were weak, plot was dumb, story depth was a joke. Only good thing was I went with a grp of friends so I had someone to make comments on and jokes with. Save you money, and go see "The Notebook", at least that "love story" has a plot. This was a complete joke. Before Spidey 3 I was all stoked and didnt want them to stop, now, I pray to the movie gods there wont be a 4th...

eh, it was arite, only spiderman movie i've actually seen and I was disappointed. I really only went for venom because he (they) is one of my favorite characters besides carnage. Yes I was a marvel comics nerd when I was younger. But anyway, I think if they were gonna drag anything on it should have been the venom saga and continued it to carnage. Anyway, I kinda thought overall the movie was crap, but supposedly if I had seen the others and realized the scripts are always garbage I would have been prepared.
Anyway, I'm hoping silver surfer is going to be great in the new f4 movie, so I have high hopes for that even though the first one was again, garbage.

I'm not a big Spiderman fan, so I don't plan to see it. One of our radio personalities saw a sneak preview and said it wasn't as good as the first two and that she thought it was a movie that didn't know what it wanted to be.

spiderman 3 just wasnt one of them.

Tobey Maguire isn't a bad guy. I think they had to do the bangs in the face, bad attitude, because he just can't do mean and badass. I didn't see any eyeliner though.

...a little to much sappyness(sp?), my wife was balling towards the end (without giving it away I'll stop there).

I thought that the movie was good if you looked at it from a comic book point of view. The cinematography and story plot was definately not something that you would expect to see in your average films. Over all I'd give it a B though.

see I am too, but I was kind of disappointed with how they handled the whole thing... that and the fact they cast topher grace (foreman from that 70s show) as venom, I always saw eddie brock as a big guy, not some little sissy from a bad sitcom. Anyway, I also didn't like how they wrapped it up... I still say they should have dragged that one on for much longer, and included carnage. THey could have done less stupid theatrical nonsense too. But oh well.

too long, too many side plots, too many pointless scenes. They could have cut out about 45 minutes worth of crap and actually made a decent movie... That club scene made me roll my eyes more then I have in a LONG time.

I was so happy when that movie FINALLY ended.

exactly! you know it's ridiculous when the entire movie theatre is laughing at scenes that arent supposed to be comedic. which is exactly what happened when i went.

"Spider-Man 3 set a half-dozen box-office records this weekend, including biggest debut with $148 million, according to studio estimates from Nielsen EDI. The opening handily reclaimed several benchmarks set last year by Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, including biggest opening day and most single-day ticket sales."

I guess someone liked it. :D

As far as all the complaints about the love story... That's part of what makes comic books so romantic to me.. A conflicted hero that endures the burden of having to save the world and keep his life and relationships together. It's why I love Hellboy. It's why I love Spiderman. That's just me. :)

hahaha i forgot to mention this. me and some friends dared one of our comedian friends to say "ok guys this is the one where he 'nails' mary jane" right when the movie started.lol that would've been so hilarious but he backed out at the last second.

Anyone else sick of Spiderman? I can't bring myself to see it. I have given up caring. Tobey Maguire is a weak actor and I think they should have cut their losses after the first movie (I didn't like the second).

I just got out of it. Don't waste your time with SM3. I LOVED the first two, but this one was way too drawn out as a crappy love story with not enough real action.

What I find funny is the people that liked the movie are using the facts to back up the fact that it was a "good movie" when in fact everyone I talked to in person thought it was crap. See, heres the thing, people go to the theater for 2 reasons, they want to see it on a screen the size of their house, and hype. If a movie has no advertisement and know one has heard of it, then it wont even get noticed at the box office. However, such as spidey three, you have tons of hype, 2 movies that were before it that IMO were badass, and everyone was all stoked to see it. Yes, it broke box office records, yes it grossed $177 Million more then the $258 Million budget, but heres the thing, when do you pay for a Movie?

Before you go in? Or after?

This may seem like a dumb question, but think about it for a second. How many of you go out to eat and have a crappy server who almost ruins your night single handily? Now, did you give them a good tip, or a tip at all? Now lets relate this to the movie, how many of us would of left a tip, or paid at all after seeing this movie? You have to pay full price before you can find out if you got got a good server, or one that needs to find a new job. Which is why it broke every box office record out there, not because it was a good movie, but because of two factors, big screen, and hype.

Spiderman 3 was ok, not nearly as good as 2 and not even close to as good as 1. Venow was WAY overplayed and lost it for me. I hope they have Carnage in the 4th, but we'll see. *pst* I'm a spiderman freak from childhood and I'm really picky about that kind of stuff...lol

Alright then. I want you to take a look at how much money they pull in the second weekend. Surely if EVERYONE thinks it sucked, everyone would tell everyone and no one would see it the second week right?? Don't think it's gonna happen. I liked it, go hang if you didn't. :P :D :)

I didn't like it, but I also didn't see the first or second one, so I was told that if I had I would have expected all the ridiculous nonsense. But I thought it was a little weak after all the buildup... and like I said before, the symbiotes were my favorite spiderman villains/antiheroes.

Huh?!?? How can someone use "facts" to back up whether they liked a movie or not? It's entirely subjective. I liked it. You obviously didn't choose me to talk to "in person" afterwards. I didn't "back up" my opinion of the movie....it's just that....my opinion. I couldn't care less how much money a movie takes in...makes no difference to my opinion on if it's a movie I liked or not.

if they do put carnage in the 4th, then it might suck because carnage is supposed to kill people by cutting them up and things like that.either the next spiderman movie is gonna be rated "R",or it's gonna suck completely because we wont actually see carnage rip people apart.

i'd prefer that they make a movie about carnage by himself and make that rated "R".
