Hello from Tokyo with my BP!
Hello from Japan! I am a snake lover who come from Tokyo.
I perchased a ball python today, unexpectedly. I thought I am insane??
It was my trauma. Back to about 10 years ago( I was a teenager), I bought a pair of ball python and I couldn`t keep them for a long time, they were dead soon!
Ball pythons got some reputation and problem at the time. They were not like ball python today. The caresheet for them haven`t established yet in my country and all of them were WC, very bad WC which have been imported by very bad situation. (eg: thousand ball pythons used to put in same bag without water and shipped from Africa.)
So, Though most of ball pthon 10 years ago were in bad condition, still people bought them then including me and most of keepers couldn`t keep them for a long time! Actually, ball python 10 years ago didn`t eat meal very much!
That was trauma. I lost a couple of ball python 10 years ago and still I had got some bad feeling with them for a long time.
I thought today if I would solve this trauma, I had to keep them again!
And I bought this one, 2006 US CB. Ohh, I bought this dog-like snake, again!! I chosen this one in 23 ball pythons in a shop. I`ve checked carefully all of them and I asked shop assistant to feed a mouse to them in the shop and this one ate a fuzzy mouse without problem.
The colour is normal, the pattern of the body is nothing special, but she has got very beautiful eyes.
I brought her back to my home and I fed her another a fuzzy and two large pinky mice and she showed me her big appetite!!! I was so happy and hope my trauma for BP with this snake!

Yes! That`s why I`ve chosen her! I have chosen her in other 24 ball pythons in a shop! her eyes were the most attractive in them and indeed she was the fastest one which ate a mouse in the shop!

That's a sensitive topic. In this forum, a lot of people feed live food safely and haven't had any issues. On other boards, which I won't name, if you post a pic of a live feeding, you'll be crucified on the spot.

oh, sorry but it was a joke. I did fresh killed mouse feeding. the thing on the snake is actually pee. The snake constricted it and the thing come off from the mouse a bit.
I always feed fresh mice or frozen mice to my snakes.
I use more frozen mice than fresh killed mice :) .

Re: Hello from Tokyo with my BP!
Which area in Tokyo are you at? My wife's house is in Kokubunji-chi, JR Kunitachi station though. I lived there for 3 years, very nice country.
If you ever come to Thailand, let's meet. Aimacho!
PS: I like Gorugo 13 as well. :)

Yes, some reptiles had got some bad reputation before, ball python for example.
But now, you can choose from WC to CB animals.

I live in Minato-ku, near Roppongi and Azabu.
So you live in Thailand? That`s nice. It`s the country where I really want to go. The food is nice, people is nice.
Two weeks ago, I have took a female movie directer from Thailand to sightseeing in Tokyo and we have talked a lot of things.
