White Ball?
What genetics go into a white Ball Python? I have seen many pictures and just love the way they look.

Re: White Ball?
I'm guessing she means the leuctistics... those are the solid white ones with blue/black eyes. I think they're fire x fire..... is that right?
-
Re: White Ball?
fires are for the black eyed lucys, for some others try http://www.grazianireptiles.com/coll.../leucistic.htm
not to mention ivorys...

Re: White Ball?
Gotcha... the lucys are kind of a freak occurrence, so if you buy two fires, don't expect to see them.

Huh? There are MANY Ball morphs that will make a leucistic: Mojaves, Fireballs, Butters, Lessers... and probably a few more. It's definitely not a freak occurence.

Re: White Ball?
the super form of it seems like almost all of the codominant morphs are a solid white or near solid white snake. There are many blue eyed lucys (butter, lesser etc.) then there are the black eyed (fires) then there are the super mojave, which is considered leucistic but has a dark head, then there are the ivories (yellow belly)
sorry for the confusion if I caused it, I meant that it's funny how many white super forms of bp morphs there are.

Re: White Ball?
Oh WOW!! Now I want one of each.:D :D

Re: White Ball?
Lesser x Lesser apparently make the purest white. The rest have random hints of the albino yellow on them.

Fire X Fire also makes a clean white snake.

Re: White Ball?
O yea since we are on this topic. Leucistic is the super form which is homozygous right?
So if you mated two Leucistics together you would get nothing but Leucistic...right? or did i do something wrong?
ALSO.... the link above... http://www.grazianireptiles.com/coll.../leucistic.htm
in the picture top left is a blue eyed with red slit...what does that?

Re: White Ball?
Yes, that is correct.
As for the Blue Eyed Lucy, the answer was on the page you posted. :D
Het Leucistic (Russo Line) X Het Leucistic (Russo Line)
Lesser Platinum X Phantom
Lesser Platinum X Lesser Platinum
Platinum X Lesser Platinum
Lesser Platinum X Mojave
Mojave X Mojave
Het Leucistic (Russo Line) X Mojave

I thought the normal one was blue eyed with black slit instead of red...

Re: White Ball?
LOL
I'm already on my path, buddy :)
As for the red pupils, I know that the Black Eyed Lucy has red pupils, but as for the Blue Eyed Lucy with red pupils, I'm not really sure of the answer to that one.
