Super-sized eggies!
We got two more clutches yesterday, so that makes four on the season so far :carrot:. I love the sight of a girl on a mound of plump white globes, it gets the blood pumping!
I felt 5 follicles in this girl all season, but she looked SO big while she was gravid, I was sure I kept missing a couple. I was right though, two of the eggs are just massive! 4 good eggs and one slug.

Clutch #4 was actually a little surprising for me. I was expecting four eggs, and possible slugs as she is an 05 baby. This is the only girl I've ever bred at 18 months old, and only because she grew so dang fast (1300 grams at the one year mark) she was 1700 when she went off feed, and laid 6 perfect eggs, so I couldn't be happier. She's always been a feisty one, and was only more so when I took this pic.

Thanks for looking! :D

Congrats Evan. Did you weigh those things? What are you expecting to be in those bowling balls?

Re: Super-sized eggies!
Is it possible those eggs could hold twins? I mean, why on earth would they be that much bigger??? Those two are like DOUBLE the size of the others!

Yeah Tim, the normal eggs are ~75 grams ea. so a little on the smaller side, and the two bigguns are ~140 grams. I wouldn't complain if we got twins out of 'em :D , but I'm not counting on it.

 Is the twin gene genetic in reptiles?

Hey, if you only get single animals out of theose monsters, look at the bright side, they'll be ready to breed after their first shed.

twinning is related to chance, and the likely hood is increased if there is a history of twining with the pairing, or in the grandparent's clutches. Thats the way i understand twinning, you can't breed for twins otherwise people would be doing it all the time, again thats just my understanding.
