I currenlty feed my BP every seven days, but he really itsn't growing like i feel he should. Should I try feeding every five days vs seven. I currently feed one adult mouse at feeding. So which should i try?

I would bump the snake's feeding up to 2 mice per week, myself.

If your feeding P/K just leave it in there with him. Over night if need be. Some will eat less and grow slower than others. I have an 04 male that just hit 850 grams.

Maybe it's just me but I personally would feed him 2 mice a week, but on 2 seperate days. For my babies, I feed on friday and again on monday.

    Just wondering, but why?

I feed two mice a week, but at the same feeding. If they only want one that week, all they get is one - no biggie.

Actually, it's much tougher on them to have to digest more days during the week. Their hearts actually increase by 40% during digestion. I'll see if I can dig up the link.

Edit - here's the link-as you can see digestion is a stressful time for your snake:

    HMMMMM

So you feed Friday and it takes 48 hours to digest and then you feed monday and it takes 48 hours to digest. So 4 days digesting is easier than 2????

Rabernet, I would love the link. Freakie, if you would like to inform me, I will listen. If you would like to soft-core attack me, that will be a different story.

If I have been mis-informed, I would love to be corrected with some facts.

I wasn't attacking by any means..my most humble apologies if it was taken that way. As has already been said digestion drains them of energy and makes them feel exposed. If your animal is eating two mice with no problem then feeding both mice on the same day will shorten the time your animal is expending energy on digestion.

    Hope this helps..
