    What is "your" herp?
    I know, most of us here keep a few different types of herps. But what is your favorite, your trademark?
    Mine has to be the BPs. I love my boa, and my new corn is cool too, but they just are not "it" to me. I will keep the two of them, and I do love my boa and handling him; but it seems like one of each of those types is enough. Now BPs, I can see myself doubling or tripling my collection in the nxtt few years!
    So what's Your poison??

    mine would probably be Candoia. Even though I'm kind of drifting away from them to play in some other species I love them and they are what started me back on snakes after a short hiatus.

    Ball pythons all the way! I do enjoy my leo and crestie too, but ball pythons have always been my first love. I really don't even have a desire to own any other species of snake, ball pythons really captivated me!

    Even though he can be mean as snot, I still love my Panther Chameleon. It's always fascinating to watch him eat and drink, and see his eyes move independantly. He has such beautiful coloring too! But I'm quickly becoming partial to BP's as well. I believe I caught the BP addiction that everyone talks about.

    I see my collection of bp's to be what will grow the most, however I'm still lookin for "that" snake. I dunno. I think what I want is a 6 foot ball, however I don't think those are too common lol. I mean, I love my boa, but at the same time there's something missing with him that I just cannot grasp, although his size is perfect!

    Pythons in general. I see my self keeping more balls, yet I'm partial to my carpet. I think I'm drawn to his pissy personality. Somehow makes me feel like we have a lot in common.:D

    Ball pythons will likely always be my #1....the herp I focus the very most on and can't ever get enough of. But someday, I'd also really love to have a few special tortoises...those faces just GET to me!

    OK, this is gonna amaze a couple of you, but the frogs have been a constant with me for a long time. they become very responsive to their keepers. I have a couple whites that I can get like 15 feet away from me and hold out a cricket or mouse in my hand and they will walk on all four legs over to the food and take it out of my hand and eat it. Balls and Boas have been here forever and I love them...but there has to be frogs or there is not alot of fun. after awhile you learn to recognise each ones calls or barks. Yep frogs. :P

    After much time spent trying to figure out what I enjoy keeping the most......I found that lizards are my favorite. I am not a big fan of geckos, but I love monitors and chameleons. So much personality when compared to snakes ;)

    .....If I had to give it all up except one herp, I would keep these guys around

    Well Ed, since you mentioned frogs, I have to say that they were what got me into herps. I love having the clawed frogs; they are so entertaining to watch, especially while eating!

    I'm somewhat on the fence. I love BPs. They are what got me into this hobby. I'm also very excited to breed them. But I love Kozma to death. I love big snakes even though he is the only one I've ever had. That is why I sold my Corn a while back.

    I guess I'll say BPs, but I earned my Snake Whisperer rep from being the only one able to handle Kozma without being tagged lol

    I love ball pythons but the herp I would list as mine is the snake I fell in love with as a mere little girl and made we get into herps;
    The Black Indigo, that is my herp, been that way since I was about 7.

    Soon as my son leaves the nest I will be converting his room in to a herp room and will get the large cage needed to keep one then I will apply w/ wildlife get my permit and buy one :)
