It has started! ~DUW~

Well, we have the first couple clutches in the incubator for the season now, and I'm getting ready for three more in the next week or so. Here's a few shots of the two proud mommies.

This is Goldfinger. She threw some killer lemons last year.

She had 9 eggs last year, all went full term. Here is this year's clutch a few days after being laid. There's one slug up front, and the other two going bad were roll-outs, so I was expecting them to go south. Since this pic was taken, the one in the back left has started to go bad too. :( I am still excited about this clutch though.

Mable (proud mom #2) has now laid three seasons back-to-back, 8,10, and now 9 eggs respectively. Best $500 I ever spent! :cool: She was bred to our albino this season.

Both moms are now feeding voraciously again, and I am getting excited for lil' pip-squeaks!! :D

Thanks Ed. Yeah, all the eggs except the slug (obviously :rolleyes: ) candled with viens, even the rollouts. I'm pretty confident the rest of the clutch will do just fine.

Thanks! We're also hoping for albinos, axanthics (and poss hets), spiders, possibly poss. het clowns (from two different 66% males x normal girls) and some bees. Oh and a dinkin' project I'm not disclosing until I see the results :D . All in all a good outlook, though most girls we bred are normals or poss hets.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. This season wasn't as productive as we had hoped, but we're still happy with our pairings. I'm getting anxious to see what everyone produces this season!

Very cool - she's very similar looking to my Pandora, who I hope to breed with Winston next season, so hopefully I'll get animals close to as hot as the ones you produced! :D
