A break from the Norm!
Please don't get mad at me everyone, but I bought some racks. WHAT you say.:O Well, we couldn't pass these up, as I need the space, but I don't have the time to build this much space, also, the hatchling rack holds more in less space than what I can build. First up is our new ARS 1075 hatchling rack. It's almost full already. I also took a pic of a Caramel, a HALO and a normal (well poss. het. Caramel) all cozy in their new tubs. With this order I also got 30 ARS CB-70 tubs with cup inserts, as I need to build 3 new racks for adult Ball Pythons. Lastly, we got ARS's brand new 7024 rat rack. This rack is advertised as a rearring rack, but we are going to attempt breeding in it. As you can guess, it is built around a CB-70 sized tub. We put 1.6 ratties in it, and will report on our success or failure in the future. I've also enclosed a picture of some rats in their new tubs. Lastly, I included a picture of Monica's newest holdback female. She has the coolest black ring around her face, but has a white face and black eyes. I think she looks cool. I hope you all enjoy the pics.
p.s. I will do a full review of these two new racks after we have had them for about 6 months. If you have any questions before that, however, please feel free to send us a question.

I saw the ARS racks at the Arlington show and they seem awesome... Hope I can get one sometime. :)

Re: A break from the Norm!
Aahhhh, I look forward to the day when I will need racks like that! I certainly don't fault you for buying those rather than making all your own. But then again, I pay someone else to cut my grass, too. :P
And that's a killer-cute rat, by the way!! :D

Re: A break from the Norm!
Tim, good choice! Those ARS racks seem very well made.
Please let us know how the tubs with the built in water bowl holder works out for you.

Re: A break from the Norm!
The setups look great Tim!!!
Sometimes you just have to sit back and realize that your time is more valuable than the cost of buying the racks. Well that and you would have drank enough beer building the new racks to have bought another caramel!!! LOL!! :8:
Halo and your caramel look fantastic!!

Alice, will do. So far I think I really like them. The only thing I don't like is I think in the hatchling rack, the bowl is a liitle too close to the front, but it does give the snake more room in the rest of the tub.

I'll tell her. She has another rat growing up that she was telling me about yesterday, but I haven't seen it yet. It suppossedly has a half black, half white face, and the rest of it is black. I'll have to check it out.

Charlie, Brian is redooing his website, so he told me that he hasn't added anything to the old site. This rack is called a 7024 and is available to the public. However, this is one of the first ten he made. All ten of them are sold already, and he hasn't ordered more yet, to my knowledge. That just means you might have to wait if you wanted one. Give Brian a call, he is a super nice guy and a pleasure to work with.
Also, thankd Ed and Neil. I'l will definitely post up some opinions after I have to put them to use for 6 months or so.

Give it a few years. If she is reproducible, Tim is the man to "get 'r dun!!"

Re: A break from the Norm!
Jen,
I don't know how I missed your reply. But as MPenn said, If she is reproducable, hopefully in a couple years we'll have some available. I do have two of Halo's sisters, and the last of the foursome was kept by the breeder. (That would be Cue). Let's hope she proves.

Well it has been 2 years since you got your rack. How do you like it?
